Weekly WIP # 133
- Controlled - Jesse Faden - Control
- Protect and Service - Lucy MacLean - Fallout
- Misc.
Alrighty. Here we are once more.
Controlled - Jesse Faden is ready to render, so that'll be the focus of the coming week. Decided to use the same music track Marie Rose's Halloween used; a simple looping track, that way I can have it as long or short as needed. I've not played Control, so I've no idea what style of music fits it anyways.
Trying out a newly discovered lighting concept. I never knew til an accidental activation that you can basically add automatic lights. They're not as adjustable as the ones you make yourself, but figured it'd be worth trying out on something small.
Protect and Service - Lucy MacLean has a few segments animated and the entire thing is laid out, so once Controlled is rendered, I'll be moving back to it. I even managed to find some sound files to use for it to amuse myself, if nothing else.
Other than those, I've just been sorting what else to work on or go back to. Should I 'as is' some of the currently stopped animations? Should I start up new things? I've got a hankering to make something with Azula from Avatar or something Mass Effect. A Batgirl idea or two is floating around as well while that Black Cat project sits and waits. Cyberpunk is still on my mind some too. So is BG3.
Too many interesting things, damnit.

It's interesting how you actually haven't played Control. What made you want to try out this character? Seeing you use her in an animation has gotten me interested in the game, though!
In regard to what to do next, I really like your animations with the more realistic models and such, rather than the more animated ones. You mentioned Mass Effect and sci-fi is always a favorite of mine. However, I do recall you had something way back when with Farah Karim. I really love the brown girls, especially the female soldier trope. Seeing you put Farah Karim through her paces in your style would be such a treat!
Jesse Faden is the only reason. I personally prefer older characters, and she's like 35? Like Scarlet from the Final Fantasy games, who is 40.
I think the music fits great as this kind of rhythmic industrial vibe! Echoing your sentiment about loving older characters like Jesse Faden. Please continue making what you like to make, but I would love more of this character :)
She'll return, as will Scarlet from Final Fantasy; another older lady. Not sure how 'old' an Asari from Mass Effect would be listed though, since they live a long ass time. Liara is portrayed as like midish 20s. Samara is probably another 40ish, as least in how they seem to have her be. The Samara model was a bit janky though, so who knows about her, but yeah. Mature Mommas need love too.
