Location, Landbetweener, Repairer of Oaths, Useless Halls, Transport
hihi ! i'm still deciding if i should post the pieces i make as i make them, or compile them into weekly pieces. let me know if you have any thoughts on it ! getting them as they happen will allow you all to get it sooner than on my social medias, but you may get notifications more often.
this week, we have a couple of designs i made mostly for fun & to practice drawing faster. nothing fully rendered, but they were fun to play with. i don't really have much of any story attatched to the "Location" piece, but the Repairer of Oaths is a fun character. a stranger of unknown mutus, who travels the world with a bottle of ink. everywhere it goes, certain artifacts are translated to a blue script that nobody knows.
additionally, as i wanted to help someone in caves of qud modding, i have did a bit of pixel art warmups as well !
the final two i've added are a couple of small one-layer thumbnails i did, which caps off the file for the week

I love the Repairer of Oaths design so dang much! :D That patterned, almost lightly biomechanical look on the thighs, shoulders and neck really adds a strangely alien touch or a feeling of unfamiliarity to its design, and that contrasts super nicely with the poise and body and the various other elements that highlight the humanlike or contemporary side to the drawing, and the calligraphy (with the simplistic way of drawing it with a finger, too), bottle craftsmanship and patterns on the elbows and knees invoking the feel of something ancient too. It feels almost separate from the passing of time itself! Really great visual storytelling and ripe for interpretation! Please excuse my steam-of-consciousness ramble lol.
ty ty ! it was something partly inspired by the King in Yellow, chameleons, & minced oaths, & i'm quite happy with how the design turned out ! it was just something to do for fun, but i think it would be a fun character to play around with more in the future :>
