In which you're probably already so tired of everyone else's April Fool's jokes that I won't be making things worse with one of my own.

With Hex Mania 2 wrapped, it's on to the next project—a Neeko x Shyvana bimbofication fic! This one will be a throwback—some of the very first works I published online were LoL fanfics, and while I'm now a recovered (very infrequently relapsing) League of Legends player, the game and its characters still possess a tender spot in my heart.

I spent a few days off, then a few more days doing prewriting (assembling the mood board, building an outline), and so work on the Shyvana fic begins today!

Apologies for the lack of communication—last week was a whirlwind of almost getting laid off, surviving the layoff, getting angry about surviving the layoff, and establishing modes of contact with my very good friends and colleagues who got laid off.

Work sucks (I know).

The Post fell by the wayside, but I did make good time on Hex Mania 2 last week—14k words at time of posting (15k by end of the day today, once I get to writing), and I hope to finish writing in the next few days, move onto the edit, and have it published by Friday.

This chapter's been a lot of fun, so I'm excited to share it around.

In which I'm actually posting on Monday for a change!

Not too much to report that you shouldn't already know—White Stained Black, the RWBY fic, had its first chapter release, and now I'm working on the second chapter to Hex Mania. Like before, I'll be posting WIPs nightly in the Discord, if you'd like to read along with the rough draft and take a sneak peek at my workflow.

In which I'm more than a few days late. My excuse is the flurry of posts over the weekend re: Hex Mania. 

1st chapter of the RWBY comm is nearly done—est. Friday, and from there the roadmap evens out: We're down to (just) four comms, three of which are contributions to ongoing projects, so I'm back down to the point where I'm comfortable doing a comm, then a self-driven work, then a comm; repeat. Hex Mania is my current self-driven obsession.

Thus, a rough roadmap looks something like:

RWBY 1 (You Are Here) > Hex Mania 2 > Shyvana Bimbofication > Hex Mania 3 > Ardor Online 2 > Hex Mania 4 > LMLD 5 > Hex Mania 5

Depending on how Hex Mania rounds out, I might throw polls for other self-driven works (Bodyslyde, OEI, HWNL) since the ultimate goal is to give my supporters more influence over my output.

Hex Maniac is a decade-long obsession for me, though, and Hex Mania is an outlet for some of my fetishes that I haven't been able to foreground as much as my others (i.e. femboys), so it's likely to take priority for self-driven stuff until I get the bug out.

This is just a heads up that there is now an additional benefit to giving me five dollars—access to writing in progress! (For non-commissioned work, because I charge after writing, so I can't share that with you all before the client, etc.)

The first two thousand  (1964) words of a new fanfic, Hex Mania are available now on Discord! When I have sharable works in progress, I'll put them in the WIPs channel—not here, because not everyone wants to read a WIP. For the non-WIPpers, you can carry on as you always have, and so will I—the full, edited first chapter of Hex Mania will be posted here as usual.

I did a big writeup in Discord as to why I made the channel and some basic etiquette I'd like us all to follow (tl;dr don't use WIPs to spoil) and you can read that if you like.

Another week, another update from yours truly. After a few days of relaxation and research, the RWBY comm is well under way: 6k words and counting! This one will be a two-parter, similar in length and scope to Frieren and ZZZ. That places this one around 12~16k words, roughly, or about another week of writing and a few more days revising. I'm having a lot of fun with it—I knew almost nothing about RWBY going in, so I binged (both versions of) the manga for research. I can confidently recommend both versions. The art in each is striking—the first comic oozes cool while The Official Manga (that's the subtitle, oddly) is just plain pretty to look at.

I mentioned earlier this week in the Discord that I have some use-it-or-lose-it PTO coming up, and I'm entertaining the notion to use my time off from my day job to focus extra hard on writing. It's a nice idea, but we'll have to see how I'm feeling when I'm actually off—I'm a pretty devout believer in taking my time off seriously. But it is a nice idea, and might help me finish off this first chapter of the comm and sneak in some planning for MILF May.

Yeah, I'm pretty serious about MILF May, even if I don't really know what it'll be just yet. Vignettes, so I can cover a number of different MILFs? Or do I hold a vote for a MILF of choice to win a nice lengthy teardown? The former spoils us for choice, the latter is more my style. These are the kinds of questions I need to work through—if you have a preference or ideas, please let me know either here or on Discord!
