New release: Our Home 3.03.01
Hello, everyone!
We are finally releasing our latest version. Before we dive into the content details, I’d like to offer a brief explanation about the delay. If you’re only interested in the version, just skip to the version summary.
--------
I always prioritize resolving issues quickly and efficiently, instead of sending apologies that may seem empty. After overcoming challenges, my focus is on getting back to work as soon as possible. Those who’ve been following me here know this has been my approach for a while.
Two unexpected events disrupted our schedule. The first was a persistent leak in our bedroom walls, which had been worsening since May last year. Without the means for immediate repairs at the time, the issue escalated into mold and unhealthy conditions that were affecting our health. Upon returning from a brief break, we found that the leak, caused by a neighbor, had spread significantly. This forced us to undertake urgent renovations, which halted work for a few days after all, construction in the production environment always poses a challenge.
About a week and a half later, when everything seemed under control (though we were still dealing with the aftermath of the repairs), we received news: my wife’s grandfather fell ill and was hospitalized. It was two weeks of anguish until his passing, which happened about two weeks ago, right when we had planned to finalize and deliver the version. While I could manage the dust from the renovations, this event deeply affected my wife, and we needed time to process the grief. In moments like these, we didn’t pressure ourselves to rush; I prioritized her well-being above all else. I understand that delays can impact our supporters and income, but honestly, in times like these, the focus is on what truly matters: mutual support and emotional recovery.
Thank you all for your understanding and patience. We’ll do our absolute best to make up for the lost time.
Now, let’s get to what really matters: the content of the new version!
--------
Quick summary of what you’ll find in this update:
Renders: ~600
Animations: ~3
Secret renders: 6
Free-roam event with Lorena: New casual content to interact with the character.
Additionally, we’ve enhanced the exclusive content for PRO members, now renamed Pioneers Vault. In the future, it will receive more specific implementations, but for now, it includes:
Fully unlocked secret photo gallery.
Replay gallery unlocked to revisit memorable moments.
Walkthrough guide with tips for making the best decisions in the game.
Sprite Experiments: Speeding Up Development We’re testing a new sprite technique to streamline the creation of casual content, such as conversations that enrich the narrative. In this update, we applied this approach to Lorena’s free-roam event, following a successful test with the character Hicco. This technique won’t replace the complex scenes in Our Home, which will maintain their high level of detail. However, sprites allow us to add light interactions more quickly, keeping the game dynamic, and will only be used in casual free-roam scenes. When a free-roam event requires more complex interactions, such as sex scenes or something more intimate, the standard narrative format will be adopted.
We’d love to hear your feedback on this new feature! If it’s well-received, we’ll continue implementing it in future updates.
Improvements in Free-Roam and VN Mode Integration We’ve worked to make the Visual Novel (VN) and free-roam modes more seamless. Now, after completing the main story content, you can explore the map and find secret images without needing to switch modes. This change smooths transitions and ensures playable content even after the story ends, keeping the fun alive until the next update. When a new version is released, your progress will automatically load, and you’ll continue the story from where you left off, just like in any other game. While this integration may feel a bit challenging at first, our goal is to make it increasingly intuitive over time.
We’ve also made several polish improvements to the user interface (UI), resulting in a more refined experience. These are subtle details, often imperceptible, but based on the feedback you’ve provided.
We’re already working on version 3.04 and will soon share more news. Thank you for your patience and continued support—it’s what motivates us to keep moving forward. Below are the links to download the new version.
