An Update in Regards to Sketches (in General)
Hey guys! As you may have noticed, whenever I fulfill sketch commissions or monthly requests, I tend to go pretty hardcore on them, making them really clean and polished, basically stamping out the "sketch" part of it, and rendering them in a way that's pretty much just line work. Line consistency gets stabilized, the appearance looks more coherent and so on. And as many of you have told me time and time again, "you don't need to go any further" or "I thought that it was already finished". I want to take these comments to heart and actually work on diminishing the extra steps I put into my so-called sketches and just give people what it was they paid me for, a sketch.
Recently, I've started working on sketches in a manner that seems a bit more fluid, and pleasantly messy, but still refined in appearance and personality, and I actually quite enjoy it, this new approach I've started adopting. I hope you guys can enjoy it too. If you find that it is not to your liking, or you feel that the amount you pay for is not equivalent to the work I give back, you are more than welcome to drop your support. I don't want you to feel like you are being given less effort for your money, but I want to keep improving and growing. I don't want to be confined by my own ridiculous expectations or defined by my poor habits and self-sabotaging tendencies. If you welcome this change, I promise to make it worth your while and I appreciate you guys ever so much. ;;
Thank you.
P.S. I will make a separate price listing for line art commissions in the near future to help enforce these habits and changes. Starting in May, if you want to ever upgrade any of your monthly requests from a sketch to clean line work, please let me know, I will charge extra for it, but I will try to keep it reasonable. :3
P.S.S. Any commissions or supporter requests from the past that are still unfulfilled will still get refined lines as I've conducted before (unless you personally request otherwise, if you find the new method is more appealing).
