I've been dealing with some health issues that have been making it rather difficult to get writing (or other work as well) done. It's gotten a bit better than how it was in the middle of the month, but I've still wound up rather lacking in things to put into this update itself. I still want to get something out during December though, as there are a number of improvements and fixes in here that there's no reason to keep held back from the public. So, as a Christmas present, here is what I'm calling Beta 1.5. Thanks for your continued support and patience as I work things out on my end.

So this was a bit delayed. Certainly more than I wanted, although the  ideal amount of delay is zero so that isn't saying all that much. By  way of explanation, there were (are) a number of scenes that weren't  quite hitting the right beats for tone and content. I may be worrying  too much about it, but that's a mindset thing I'm in the process of  figuring out. The inner critic is always so harsh. A lot of stuff that  was/is still in flight has been left unfinished and held back for that  reason, but I decided I would rather put something out now than continue  holding on to the update that has a lot of balance/mechanical  improvements and such. There's a limit to how much fiddling with writing  one can do before they need to give themselves a deadline and stick to  it. That's what I'm doing here. Being sticky.

So, this ends up being a bit light on the written content (again  AAAAAAA), more than I wanted, but I'm still pretty optimistic about  things. It was a little rough earlier, but more recently I've been  feeling more confident in my grasp of how I want to go about writing  things. While it didn't happen quickly enough for it to come into play  for this update, you can certainly stay tuned for the next one.
