As promised, a follow-up for last Wednesday's post on the release date. As things stand right now, chapter 6 will not release on Saturday. Perhaps Sunday afternoon or after. In other words, basically nothing has changed from the update on Wednesday.

Sorry if an update alert drew you here all hopeful, but since I'd promised to post a little update today, I couldn't not.

Edit: Android builds are throwing tantrums. Ordering out for additional RAM to get it sorted. So no release on Sunday... :(

Here's a short update on the Beta progress and a tentative release indication.

So, the Beta's well underway, with a ton of typos and a few glitches caught. Luckily, nothing too serious. There's still a cog open on the progress infographic because I want to push a final beta-3 out tomorrow, but I'm not expecting too much issues to rise from that one (and of course, now I've jinxed it).

The gallery is now also updated, so that was one more big item on the list checked off.

So what's left to do to get it release worthy?

There's a bunch of small fixes, tweaks and tiny additions on my backlog. All in all, about eight bullet points, so that's not a huge deal.

Then there's the android version that needs to be prepared. I have a pretty good ideas on how I want to approach that, so I don't expect a lot of issues from that, it's just stuff to do.

Then the final big step is prepping all the installers and getting everything in order for shipping. Again, there's nothing complicated there, it's just more stuff to do.

All in all, all the difficult jobs seems squared away, now it's just finishing touches and wrapping up.


So what about a release date then?

If all goes well, it could be somewhere on this Sunday? Of course there's always a chance something takes up more time than expected, so don't be surprised if it slips to Monday or Tuesday. 

For those that are considering tiering up to get in the beta and have it sooner, be sure to keep the above in mind, as with each passing day the public release draws sooner. I'll post another update this Friday on how things are progressing, in case you were planning to have it for the weekend.
