Devlog Update 0.2.7 & What's Coming Next!
Hello, everyone!
First of all, what did you think of the Halloween update? I'd love to hear your thoughts! Whether you enjoyed the event, the new scenes, the minigames, or the other additions, your feedback is always welcome and helps me understand what you'd like to see more of in the future.
After taking a couple of days off to rest following the Halloween update, I'm back to work on Dystopia: Under the Eclipse! There's plenty more to come, and I have some interesting things to share with you today.
A New Character Is Coming!
I'm happy to announce that a new character will be joining the game with Update 0.2.7, arriving next week!
This character has some very specific features that many of you have been requesting for a while, so I'm curious to see what you think!
I've attached a silhouette to give you a little preview. You'll get to see the character in full when the next update arrives next week. Any guesses about who it might be?
Update 0.2.7 - Bug Fixes & Improvements
Alongside the new character and the usual content additions, I've been working on fixing numerous errors and bugs throughout the game.
I'm doing my best to make the experience smoother and more enjoyable, so this update will include a good number of fixes and improvements.
Combat System Overhaul - Coming Next Month!
Now, here's something I'm particularly excited to share.
I've started working on changes to the game's combat mechanics, reworking several of the existing systems to make combat less simplistic, more entertaining, and more challenging.
I want fights to feel more engaging than simply clicking a few buttons repeatedly. The goal is to introduce more interesting decisions and give you a greater sense of progression as you play.
These changes will also introduce combat statistics and a leveling system, adding another layer of depth to the gameplay.
However, this is a more ambitious undertaking that requires additional development time. For that reason, these improvements won't be included in Update 0.2.7. Instead, they're planned for next month, in the update following the next one.
I'd rather take the time to develop these mechanics properly than rush them into the game before they're ready.
A Quick Note About the Update Schedule
For those of you who are new to Moonlight Creations, I try to release updates around the 1st and 15th of each month.
These dates are a general guideline rather than a strict guarantee, as development sometimes takes longer than expected. Nevertheless, I do my best to stick to this schedule so you know roughly when to expect new content!

After more than two weeks of intensive work, I'm thrilled to finally bring you the Halloween Special Update, the biggest update Dystopia: Under the Eclipse has received so far!
This Halloween, the Eclipse Club is opening its doors for a special celebration. Get ready for a Halloween party filled with new activities, familiar faces, exclusive costumes, and plenty of new content to discover!
HALLOWEEN SPECIAL CONTENT
6 Brand-New Minigames - Six new minigames are waiting for you at the Eclipse Club. Test your skills, explore the new activities, and see what the Halloween party has in store!
Two Familiar Faces Return! - Truella and Tyler, two characters previously introduced in the prologue, are back! It's time to see them again and discover what brings them back into the story.
600+ New Voice Lines - The world of NeonWaste gets even more lively with over 600 additional voiced lines, bringing more personality and immersion to your experience.
14 New Animations - More animations have been added to enrich the game's scenes and interactions.
Halloween Outfits for Everyone! - Every character gets a special Halloween look! The entire cast is ready to celebrate the spookiest night of the year.
A Halloween-Themed Main Menu - Enjoy a brand-new main menu cover and specially themed menu music, created to bring the Halloween atmosphere to life from the moment you launch the game.
IMPROVEMENTS & BUG FIXES
New Map Markers - Not sure where to go next? The map now features markers indicating where you should head or where a new event is available. Finding your next destination has never been easier!
Skip the Opening Questions - A new skip button has been added to the section where you question the Obsidian Bloom workers at the beginning of the game. If you've already experienced these conversations or simply want to get straight to the action, you can now skip them.
Button Text Fixes - Fixed several buttons that were not displaying their options correctly.
New Background Music - Additional background music has been added for story sequences and events, making these moments more immersive.

This update has been a huge undertaking, and after more than two weeks of intensive work, I'm incredibly happy to finally share it with you. Developing Dystopia: Under the Eclipse entirely on my own is a demanding journey, but seeing the game grow with every update makes all the effort worthwhile.
I sincerely hope you enjoy this Halloween Special Update as much as I've enjoyed creating it for you. There's a lot of new content to explore, new activities to try, familiar characters to meet again, and an entire cast dressed for the occasion!
