Alright, I've got some bad news. I will not be able to release the update tomorrow. I wish I had a really good reason or honestly that it was just ready but I don't really. It's just not in a state I want for release. Like I promised I am pausing billing and putting a halt to any new subscriptions on both Patreon and Subscribestar. I still want to release the preview build within the month, but realistically speaking I've proven that I'm not yet able to properly gage how long things take.

I know that realistically speaking there were always going to be growing pains in my first time developing a game yet I think we can all agree that it sucks. One of the factors is clearly that my productivity has tanked since the RAM issues I had and I've had some real difficulties getting back into the swing of things. That is probably a combination of personal failings, inexperience and some outside factors and it all just feels a bit shitty because I could've done better. I can do better. So that's exactly what I'll strive to do. Continue the work and try to improve my workflow. I thank all of you for your patience and support for this fledgling project and I promise you: no matter how long it takes I will get you the next part of the story and hopefully you'll be there to see it. No hard feelings if you aren't. 

It's been too long since I've written one of these so let's get to it! Most important thing first: release date for the first preview build, which will be accessible to all enhancement-tier subscribers and above, will be october 12th.

As far as I'm concerned that build will remain a patreon/subscribestar exclusive until at the very least my next preview build is finished. I realize of course that it may leak before that but as of now I don't have any plans on policing piracy so I'll leave it up to my subscribers' discretion.

Should the release be delayed for some reason (and I honestly hope not, it's taken me far longer than anticipated to get this build ready and right now I still have some stuff that I'm not quite happy with) I will look into either pausing pledges for the month or into getting the build to you anyway should you unsubscribe somewhere in the window of the missed release date and the actual time of release. Seems only fair, right?

Now in other news! Tomorrow I'll also be posting the first poll for the Midcard-tier patrons and subscribers! Basically I plan to include an additional "spin-off scene" for the final release of episode 2 and a lot of details of what will be included in the scene will be determined by polls. Note that this scene wil NOT be included in the preview builds but rather for when the full episode 2 is finished (which I think will consist of probably three preview builds). This scene will basically be a wrestling match + lewd scene that took place in the game setting but doesn't directly involve the MC. It will completely stand alone, not directly impacting the main story, but I think it'll be a fun way to explore the universe a bit further and be a nice bonus for all supporters!

Oh boy, after a process that was a bit more complicated than I anticipated I finally got the RAM in my PC replaced and it seems to be working alright! Unfortunately during the wait I haven't been able to work on the next build with the exception of some writing and coding (only thing I could really accomplish with my laptop).

When it comes to the state of the patron-only preview build (which I'm considering renaming to just Episode 2 Part 1 since I feel like it'll be significant enough in scope), I still have some work to do. Without spoiling too much I will say that the build will include a sort of tutorial/introduction fight but I'm not really happy with the way it has currently turned out. Right now it feels a bit too 'gamy' for me which isn't my aim: I want the wrestling to feel more like a narrative rather than something solely stat-based, yet I do want the way you train and prepare for a match to have an impact. There should be multiple ways to win or lose a match and I want you to have the ability of shaping a fighting style for your MC.

Aside from that the main big thing I still need to do is the final scene, which includes a lewd scene. This is something I absolutely want to include in the next build, seeing as this is still an AVN and I want to include at least 1 lewd scene per update.

With all that said I'm going to refrain from putting out a definite release date, I feel like at this moment I don't have a proper handle on how long things take and after the computer trouble I don't feel like jinxing myself into another issue right before release. Good thing is I do feel like I am ready to start releasing teaser images so all Hot Coffee-tier subscribers and above should look out for the first one a few minutes after this post goes live!

Another short update with some good and bad news: good news is my buddy figured out that it is a RAM issue plaguing my computer, honestly I think probably the best case scenario after a problem with the PSU. Bad news is that my computer isn't fixed just yet as I need to purchase and install some new RAM. I'll do that ASAP but at this point I don't have a timeline yet for the release of the preview build for the Enhancement Talent and above-tier subscribers as I still want to include at least one lewd scene for the build and that scene at this point is not yet finished.

For the moment I'm a bit hesitant to put up a new release date since my computer isn't quite fixed yet and my days are about to become busier again but what I'll probably end up doing is start to put out teasers for all paying subscribers from the moment my PC is fixed up until the build's release.

Alright so a small update in regards to my pc issues. I have a tech-savvy friend who's willing to take a look at it this weekend and hopefully he'll manage to figure out what's wrong (and maybe fix it if it's just a software issue). I hope worst case scenario is just an issue with the power supply unit because anything beyond that I don't think I'll be able to fix quickly. So for now the release of the preview build is still postponed until I've got news on the PC situation, and hopefully I'll know more by sunday.
