It has just been a month but here is update 0.2.1. I will try to release smaller updates more frequently now. Let's see how that works out.
But now about this update:
- Content -
It's a new day and time to drive back to Dark Falls. The update contains 2+ new scenes at different locations and new character(s).
The train ride from Starlight City to Dark Falls is now visualized with Renders.
You are also meeting Sam again. Due to the nature of things, if you are not interested in her, the content of this update will be reduced.
New Feature - Image Gallery
This update contains the first version of the image gallery. It's included in the character overview. Next to the character details a new tab is available now showcasing images including that character.
Images are unlocked by playing; however, you do not have to restart due to the smart way gallery images are unlocked. If you have already played v0.2.0 most images will already be unlocked. And even though the gallery is embedded into the game, it is playthrough independent. Means if you start a new game previously unlocked images will stay so. (There is no scene gallery yet.)
Others
I also always try to improve what is. The free roam sections currently in the game felt a bit empty. I will try to improve them over time where I can. For this update I added a minigame to the attic of the haunted house and something more to find. It is not story relevant and doesn't require anyone to restart, but if you want, load a save from before and check it out. (Loading a save that was made while searching the attic might cause problems. My play tests were fine, but I can't guarantee for it. So I recommend loading a save made a bit before that.)
Ability to support your Creator by pledging – one-time or recurring.
Means to reaching out to the Creator directly via Instant Messenger.
