Hey everyone. I wanna have an off cycle chat with all of you and ask for your opinion.
Firstly, thank you all for the positive reception, I'm really really not that good at this yet and hope to get better. You didn't have to support this thing, but ya have, and I'm so very grateful. Ok, so here is the issue: A number of people have asked about book #7 of the comic, particularly since things must have happened in it that make things more clear in the Visual Novel. Truth is, I never finished it. I had one real supporter after about three years of poking at it, and while I did get better with renders/story telling, between that and work stress, I just gave up on it. Then I let the whole thing sit for about a year and a half.
I picked up Ren'Py on a whim, it seemed natural at the time to use all the characters and sets I had accumulated for the comic, plus I really did have grand plans for some kind of ridiculous on going saga... >.>
Where was I... RIGHT! The comic! I've been slapping together the renders I had made two years ago on Sundays since that's render day anyways, and I could do it with out really slowing down work on the VN, but... It's time to do more renders.
Splitting resources will mean work does slow down a little on the VN, so I want to ask all of you what you would prefer. Finish the comic's story? Or just let it go and focus on the VN?
For an example point, the version yesterday, v0.03.07b was already a split week. Just to see how bad it was, and while I did feel the pressure some, I think it was a decently sized update, comparatively.
And I feel you all need a bit of a reward for listening to be lament. Next week I'm shooting for a Cloe/Zoe scene and a /cough Mother/Daughter scene w/ Kojia and Lala-fon. Both with animations, at least the Cloe/Zoe animation is rendering now. ^^
Doing it this way, I should be able to get the comic finished in about 1.5 months, coinciding with the beginning of chapter four of the VN. Also, for all subscribers, the preview for all the pages curently cut together are posted on the discord. ^^ So... if you could kindly vote on the path forward.
