MUST READ - Dealing with Burnout - Changes
It’s now been two weeks since I last posted anything, and you must all be wondering what’s going on, especially since I’ve communicated very little.
I think I’ve reached a point I thought was impossible: burnout.
Even though, as I’ve said from the beginning, I take enormous pleasure in what I do and still have plenty of stories to tell, it’s been more than a year that I’ve been releasing comics on a continuous weekly schedule, with only a few delays and no real interruptions. Everything was going fine, but the reality is that fatigue has taken over.
No more excuses. I now need to take back control and make firm decisions so this doesn’t happen again.
- In the immediate term, I have to cancel the Taboo Snuggles pages that were planned for today, I’m sorry about that.
- Next, I need to get myself back on track to release the 40 pages of MIH. I’ll do my best to get them out before the end of the weekend.
- In the longer term, as one of the subscribers suggested, I think it would be healthier if I reduced the number of pages I release each week. 20 pages would be too few; ideally I’d aim for around 30 pages.
After the release of the 40 pages of MIH, I’ll gradually get back into the rhythm in an exceptional way, and I’ll release a very short comic of 25–40 pages over two weeks (12–20 pages per week), packed with action, based on a visual novel I love that was never completed: 'True Bond'! I’m going to make the milf a bit thicker, my way!
Then we’ll switch to the new rhythm of 30 pages, where the storytelling will be more condensed, with longer dialogues concentrated on fewer pages, to leave more room for action. I guarantee you the quality of the comics will only get better.
That’s it, I hope my words reassure you about my absence and about what’s coming next, and that we’ll start off even stronger. I want to apologize for this delicate and unexpected period, and I thank you enormously for your support. Let me know what you think in the comments!
