[PROGRESS REPORT] Something Something Livin' on a Prayer
Some of you might get that reference. The rest of you are too young.
Here's where we're at with Season 2 Episode 6:
That's right. Nearly halfway done. And this time there aren't any big video sequences that should have me tripped up for weeks lol
The writing itself is almost done for the main story bits. And as you can see, we're planning on adding at least 1 scene to everyone pictured above, which are coming along really nicely. There are a certain few I'm really excited to work on.
Another thing, we have a few surprises in store on the side. One is gonna be free to the entire community, with nothing locked to Supporters. One is gonna be another Pandora's Box pack, and our high tier Supporters voted on a song that gave it a more wholesome and cute theme. Last one is a surprise for our F95Zone community, for being with us for 5 years and not once pirating our paid content. That one's gonna take some work, so it's a ways off, but I still wanted to mention it 'cause honestly, that's real admirable. And we wanted to show more appreciation than just "thanks."
Lastly... I forgot the March calendar, I know. I may just wait until April and include it with that one just so the like... 4 of you who collect those won't have this glaring blank spot in your folder.

[PROGRESS REPORT] Hammering Away
Hey, all. Here's where we are:
You'll notice the bar hasn't moved a ton. There's one particular main story scene we've been fighting with (Nags mostly) that's gonna be a REALLY good scene, but the setup, lighting, and effects are so goddamn intensive that it's taking a long time to get done. We even had to split it into two labels to make the shots and reference file easier to manage. There's one more scene in this episode that is similar and that we may have to do this with. So while it may look like it's slow going, don't worry. We're hard at work lol
We also have another Pinup Pack and another Pandora's Box pack coming soon. The HMV for Pandora's Box 3 is already done, featuring a song the Supporters chose in a poll this time. It's a little bit of a departure from the typical Pandora's Box pack, lending itself more to spicy wholesome than straight up depravity. We think you'll like it.
Speaking of hard at work on the main story, thought you might want to see some previews. So here ya go.

[PROGRESS REPORT] Some Quality of Life Requests
Hey, all! Here's where we're at with Season 2 Episode 6:
Along with this, I wanted to talk about some requests we've had lately. Here are a few things we're planning on trying to implement with the next patch/content drop. So far:
- We've been asked if we can grey the Character Book icons out when the girl has scenes available, but it's not the right time of day so you don't keep having to go through "This scene is only available at night" during every Free Time. That way, when a girl's button lights up, you know for sure that there's a scene you can play through then and there.
- We've been asked to make a Change Time of Day button when a build ends so the player can freely change the time of day and do all the side story stuff they want.
- We've been asked to make an in-engine text option for the voicemails from the girls so that they can be read along with or just read at the player's own pace.
- We've been asked to replace Galka's Character Book icon so it's easier to tell when she has a scene. Her color icon is not distinct enough from her greyed out one due to her design.
I'm stewing on fixes and improvements for all of these things. Some are simple. Others require a bit more finesse. But I'm confident we can get all of these done and bundled in with Season 2 Episode 6.
Another thing. There have been some difficulties with the Android version of the game, so lemme spill some info for you here:
- If the Android version from this newest update just immediately force closes, go into Settings, then Apps, find WCA (after it's been installed obviously), look at Permissions, and make sure it has Files or Storage enabled. Modern handsets may be disabling all permissions from non Google Play apps by default now for safety, so you may have to turn these permissions on manually. The game needs access to your files so it can create a Renpy_Saves folder inside your phone's Documents folder. This is where it will store all the content for the game, and simultaneously allows you to use DLC without having to root your phone.
- If you are having trouble getting the Fantasies Collection to work, I've rebuilt the file and reuploaded it to Itch. That seems to have solved the problem for some people, so I'm going to change the links for the Fantasies Collection on Patreon and SubscribeStar to point to the new file. If you've had issues getting the FC to work, try downloading the new version I just posted. The Patreon and SubscribeStar T3 posts have been updated to include the new version as well.
And that's about it! New things like voicemails are bound to have a "shit stage" just like the Character Book used to, and your feedback has always been helpful in refining things and making them better. So thanks for all the input!

[PROGRESS REPORT] 1.6.0.0 Development Started
Hey, all.
Wait a sec. Why are we getting a Progress Report? Well, because we've been working on 1.6.0.0 while 1.5.0.0 has been in the release pipeline. Here's where we're at:
Yeah so my Photoshop borked and I had to do this in Canva. But hey, new episode, new look. As you can see, we're nearly a quarter of the way done with Season 2 Episode 6. We're getting between 2 and 4 scenes per week done, which is great progress.
We decided to skip the halfway stuff, the 1.5.5.0 patch that's only Side Story stuff, because it feels much better to ship the updates with side story scenes included, and let them unlock organically at certain points in the shipped episode. This seems to have worked well with Season 2 Episode 5, so we're gonna do it again. Instead of doing 4 girls and upping their scene counts to a multiple of 5, we're gonna include a bunch of girls and have them all get at least 1 new scene. In some cases, more.
Shooting the scenes, as always, is the hardest part and takes the longest. We've been doing a bit better in that regard lately, so hopefully the momentum holds.
Anyways, we're still eager to hear what everyone thinks about the second part of Season 2 Episode 5. And while we wait, we're hard at work on the next episode.

1.5.0.0 Entering Final Testing
Content development is done for 1.5.0.0, so I thought I'd pop on and share what's left to do:
- Set all side story maxquest variables to new values to ensure you can actually play the new side story scenes
- Insert mainquest variable checks in the side stories
- Build Saffryn's DLC package
- Full playtest of Season 2 Episode 5
- Test of Saffryn DLC to ensure it works with a live copy of the game
And... that's really it. As I said, all of the content is done. Now it's just code adjustments and playtesting. I don't have much more to say, so how about some previews?
That's all for now. Gonna be making my adjustments overnight and putting the team through bugtesting. See you on the other side.

[PROGRESS REPORT] The Home Stretch! Get Ready for 1.5.0.0!
Hoo boy. Been a while since you've seen one of these, huh?
We've been on fire lately. Saffryn is ready for early access release to T4 and up Supporters, and 1.5.0.0, the end of Season 2 Episode 5, is almost ready to ship. The main story section is completely finished, and we're just finishing up the side story scenes and the side story unlock pacing. In fact, I made this graphic 6 hours ago, and we finished 2 more side story scenes since then, so it's not even fuggin accurate anymore.
I do wanna say one thing, though. Everyone who's been wanting River content is gonna be real happy this patch.
I stated this on a Supporter Only post, but we're waiting to put Saffryn into Early Access until 1.5.0.0 ships, and we've had a chance to fix any bugs that pop up. Saffryn's compatibility hooks are baked into 1.5.0.0, so releasing that first makes it so our Supporters don't have to update their game twice.
Since people keep asking, T4 supporters and up get to test out new DLCs and keep them for free as soon as they're ready to test. Regardless of the final price of the DLC.
T3 gets all FINISHED DLCs for free, as soon as they're marked Complete. Also regardless of the price of the DLC.
T2 gets a 50% Discount on all Itch.io DLC purchases. There is a pattern here.
T1 gets a thank-you.
It's $2. What do you expect.
ANYWAY, every since getting this new PC, all of my frustration with the VideoExport plugin has evaporated. It finally just works. No more freezing, no more hanging on encoding, no more retakes that aren't my own damn fault for forgetting to set the limit to Animation instead of Seconds after selecting an object and reselecting a character(animations that pop... you know the ones). And I'm beginning to think that most of my burnout was due to frustration with the equipment I was working with. I, personally, have gotten more done in these first two weeks of January than I had in October through December of last year. I can't promise I'll keep up this pace, but goddamn does this feel good. So I'mma use this. I almost hate that I have to go to bed in an hour 'cause I have more scenes I wanna do, but I know if I get locked in, I will keep myself up 2 hours past my bedtime... so I'mma have to be the bigger person and walk away.
That analogy makes no sense here, and I don't care.
But anyways, I've been having so much fun lately making WCA without all the frustration that I thought was part of the process. Mad difference some new equipment makes.
