Hey everybody,

I'm back with a progress report. Currently I am putting together the new areas for the next part of the game. Unfortunately there isn't as much to show during this part of the development, but I have made some pretty good progress.

Skips:
I have added the ability to skip some of the longer cutscenes. There is also a text prompt that will appear in the top left of the screen when you can skip a scene.

New Grab Attack:
All Ember's animations are in the game, and functional. 

Goblin Spawner Fix:
     This is more of a win for me than something you guys will notice. I managed to change how the "goblin spawning" objects work. This will allow me to have multiple spawning objects at a time.

Nyth Re-face:
     I also took a little time to do the touch up for Nyth's face sprite. Again, not much changed, but I made her lips a little smaller. Also added some detail to her chest for the nude version.

     And the naked version.

     After the results of the poll it sounds like the new portraits went over pretty well. Some people don't like the new Ember as much. The only feedback I got was maybe her eyes were a little too dark. So I did another pass, and I'd like to know what you guys think. This time, if there is something specifically you didn't like about the new design  over the original, please let me know in the comments. 

The beta test:
     So with the new animations in, and the skip function live I was thinking of putting out a test for my higher tier subscribers. ($7 - $15) I don't know if it's worth it to do a full release. There isn't any new story, or progression in the game yet. This would just be to try out the new animation, and the skipping function. 
     I'm letting everyone know here in case you see the post about a beta test, and are confused. I know the message on the post gets blocked out if it's on a higher tier. I don't want anyone to feel tricked if they see it, and think it's finished. So if you decide you want to try it, and upgrade your sub, just know it's not a very big update.

     If you do participate I only ask that you DM me with any bugs you find, or leave a comment on the post. 

Hello everyone!

Today I need your opinions on something.

     Over time, I’ve received a decent amount of feedback on my character portraits. As I make my way through this game’s development, I had intended to go back over the designs. I’ve become much better at drawing pixel art and have learned new tricks since I started. I had a little time, so I took another attempt at two of the character portraits (Ember and Lila).

     I’m going to leave a poll here to get the community’s opinion on the changes. I didn’t change much, but one note I received was that the lips were too big, so I tried smaller ones. I think it works for Ember, but I like Lila’s original lips more. That’s just my opinion, though, and I’d really like to hear yours.

 

I also added in a naked version. So that the portrait can match the scene if the characters are naked.
