Starfire with a Chance of Sex
"The weather report came out. The meteorologist said something about star fire with a chance of sex. Maybe you misheard, but either way.. that sounds very promising for a nice day at the beach."
This was a challenge to get ready for release. We had to switch male models and Starfire twice, there were issues with the background I couldn't figure out, as well as trying new things with animating the background itself. I'm happy with the overall look, but it's not our best work. Still, learning and growing is always good, and we'll know for next time.
The team will be off for the next week, but we'll be back after.

Wonder Woman and the Lasso of Endurance
"When Diana said she could help your bring your endurance to superhuman limits, you didn't know what to say. Who would say no to that? As long as you stayed hydrated and ate plenty of food, she was sure it would work. The Lasso of Truth is a VERY powerful tool.
Of course, it's a very hands on job, and Diana has no problem helping where needed. So, between saving the world and travelling to new missions, you just rent out a local gym or apartment and to train together."

This was a very troublesome project to work on, but the results speak for themselves. At 10 days of rendering, it was also a very LONG project to work on. And honestly, my only dislike is the way the sweat beads disappear and reappear, but it's a very small thing.

Surrendering Control
"Getting away from Beast Boy isn't easy. But your ability to teleport? Well, it took some convincing, but Raven is pretty satisfied with the results."
I've been pretty quiet for a while now. Sure, we've released a couple videos a week, but I've been focusing on finishing up the last Major Studio Release and transitioning into our next phase with VRAR's. And I've had a lot I wanted to say in regards of the new direction, but I knew that to make longer videos with less loops we would need to find ways to render longer videos faster, WITHOUT sacrificing quality as we have in the past.
And I do believe I've figured it out.
This video was a perfect testing ground, as it had a simple background, but fine details on the model itself. And I think the proof is in the pudding. The sweat all over Raven really stands out, and no detail is lost with the new process. I'm able to render faster now and I'm actually able to include even MORE detail than before.
As new releases come out over the next couple of weeks, pay closer attention to each video. I think you'll see that, not only is there more detail, but the animations have better pixel density overall. Shinier surfaces are easier to make out and focus on, and luster just looks better.
I'm very pleased with the direction we're heading in, and I'm very happy with the content we're putting out. The only real downside to this new way of rendering is that objects WITHOUT good detail or textures don't look so great. It's much easier to tell the difference between a high quality texture and a quickly thrown together one.
