I have decided to scrap The Night Gate for a better story. The art will remain the same for the UI, and most of the characters will still be used. As I thought about the future for TNG, I realized that it would be come too saturated with subplot, too ambitious of an undertaking, and too much to follow as a player. I would rather restart before initial release, then abandon a game after it has been released.
The story that is now being developed, is, in my opinion, more interesting, and a bit more grounded. TNG was headed to be a fantasy style game and thats not really where I wanted to focus the story. Ill keep you updated with details of the new one, as I'm confident that this one will overshadow the previous idea. As for the category the new project belongs in, It's hard to say. not horror, not really sci-fi. Perhaps drama. I'll leave that for players to decide.
