Ginger's Paradise Title Theme/News

For now I'm posting on Ginger's Paradise. Long story short because I'm not sure if I'll even be able to sell the game, I'm pausing things until payment processor stuff is sorted out. I designed this game to be more "pure" than my usual games, not really about hypnosis, mind control, etc. It's literally you pleasing sexy redheads in heaven in a rhythm game. Even so, the censorship happening isn't about the fetishes I use, it's about censorship. I would still be on patreon if Visa and Mastercard had not pushed me off the site due to pressure from payment processors. I honestly believe it's because I was one of the top creators on the site and they just hated that.

Right now with funding cut off from itch.io, that's half of my income. As such I've decided to pause things until this all shakes out. This is a shame because we were only about a month or so away from releasing a demo. The tutorial animations were done, the music is done, and most of what remained was drawing the intro and getting it fully coded.

I'd also like to share a mashup of two of the themes with you all.  It is attached to the bottom of this post.

This is a combination of the opening theme song and the tutorial level song. As soon as things are more stable I'm resuming production on this game.

As for Redaze Critical Bliss is continuing to work on it. They are not hindered at all. That said our original plan was to release a demo on itch.io, sooooo... yeah.

I am at least happy to say that Overwhored is re-listed on itch, as it is 100% free. The art pack for it is now free as well, no longer costing $1.

ITCH.IO Frozen.

Well, it's here. The payment processors are pushing for their next purge, and this is a big one. Itch.io has made it impossible to find our games via search. Visa and Mastercard have forced them to do this. All NSFW games and content is frozen on their site.

None of this affects CriticalBliss's finances. ReDaze should still come out - but it does affect mine. I was living off of steam and itch.io's money so I could put all of this into Ginger's Paradise. I'm still on steam and wasn't caught in that purge, and hopefully should stay so. Also the itch.io situation should hopefully be temporary. Still, that is where I made my living, and while I have savings, they were supposed to be for the VA fund. I will have to go low power on this for a while and decide what I want to do soon. Also Ginger's Paradise is doing pretty well - we have most of the tutorial level set up and some music being made. However, I'm not sure I'll have the finances to continue with anything in the long run.

If Redaze's demo comes out this year I'll be fine. I was willing to sell my house if I had to in order to put out my game, but if the money is completely turned off there's no point in even making anything. I won't be able to pay my staff. If the purge also hits subscribestar, I'll be solely dependent on steam revenue to survive. If that's gone, I just am not allowed to make money because two credit card companies say so.

This is hitting everyone in the NSFW space right now. Please be kind to everyone. Hi everyone! The poll ended recently, and you all overwhelmingly decided you want more Snow Daze bonus content! I am happy to provide more bonus art going forward. I do want to let you know that I have to be a little careful about making this because I don't want to step on the Redaze team's toes. The Bonus Day for instance has been 90% complete since not long after Snow Daze came out, but I haven't released it because the Redaze team intends to include the concepts in Redaze. As such I won't do anything they're doing.

As a side note Ginger's Paradise came in a solid second place. It is possible to make both a small rhythm game and make Snow Daze bonus art/audio at the same time, so I will do that. Stay tuned for a more detailed pitch for it soon! We posted some previews on the discord already. 

Also Little Mittens is now working for me as a part-timer. If we get back up to over $2k a month she'll work for me full time and we'll be able to really churn out bonus art and updates, so I will be making a goal soon. 

Thank you for continuing to follow me. I shut down the subscribestar because I don't want anyone to feel cheated - I am not directly making Redaze myself now, that is entirely Critical Bliss at this point. However the poll showed that you all still want to see bonus content here, and I will provide. Also to be perfectly honest I was just bored waiting for them to make the game and not doing anything. I feel like making a Rhythm minigame is going to be fun for me and fun for all of you. I will of course continue making and updating Snow Daze content during the course of the month.
