We’re deep into the final polishing phase for Past Mistakes Episode 2, and the release is just around the corner! Here’s everything we worked on this past week:
Rick completed the composition for this month’s Wallpaper Set — all that’s left is rendering and final editing.
The Steam and in-game achievements are now fully functional and tested.
Nethuum finalized editing for all game renders, removing the “haze” effect that was originally added as an artistic choice. After community feedback, we’ve decided to remove it to improve clarity and allow everyone to fully enjoy the scenes.
All animations from Episode 1 have also been revised — the haze effect was removed and loop errors corrected for a smoother experience.
Key updates and final corrections were made to the Steam store page to ensure everything is ready for launch.
Audio planning for Episode 2 is underway — organizing where each track fits in for maximum immersion.
The Gallery UI for Evelyn and Jade’s scenes has been completed.
All DLCs have now been added to the game by AB.
We also posted two new previews (here & here) and officially shared the release dates for each tier (here).
AB & Nethuum have started working on the Portuguese (BR) translation of the game.
The game is now in polishing, with just a few final adjustments left before release.
Lastly, we’ve added Tier $10+ to the game’s credits!

We’ve made great progress this week and we’re getting very close to the finish line. First, let’s start with some fun news — the results of this month’s poll are in, and “Pool Time” came out on top as the winning theme for the upcoming Wallpaper Set!
On the development side, AB has finished rendering and polishing all scenes for the next update, and also implemented the full Walkthrough directly into the game. Meanwhile, Tera completed writing the achievement descriptions, and Nethuum finalized the achievement design for Steam.
Nethuum also began post-processing the final renders to make sure everything looks clean and consistent. We also made the decision to re-render all looped animations from Gabriella’s scene for smoother visual quality.
This week, we posted two new Episode 3 previews (links below), and we’ve also submitted the Walkthrough & Cheats DLC to Steam for review.
This week brought another round of solid progress for Past Mistakes. AB has added the Evelyn & Conquest Wallpaper Sets to the Mythical Edition of the game (not yet released, but coming in the next update).
Scene 1 has been fully edited and rendered, and both Scenes 1 and 2 are now waiting on postwork to polish them up. AB also finished editing Scene 3, and these three scenes have already been implemented into the game’s code.

Tera wrapped up writing one of the new scenes for the upcoming build. Meanwhile, Scene 8 has entered the editing phase since its script was recently reworked with more variants and improved dialogue. As soon as Tera completes rewriting Scenes 4, 5, 6, and 7, those will move forward to the editing stage as well.

Hello everyone! This week’s progress brought us even closer to finalizing Episode 2, with several improvements and adjustments across the board. One of the bigger narrative updates is that Jade will now have unique scenes depending on whether the futa version is active or not, offering more tailored content based on player preferences.
On the rendering front, 84 renders have already been edited, including bonus shots, and AB has started rendering Scene 1, which is now fully finalized. AB has also organized most of the scenes for rendering and implementation into the game's code. Meanwhile, Rick is close to completing all the remaining renders from the script so far.
Tera has only two more scenes left to finish the Episode 2 script, marking a major milestone for this chapter. We also wrapped up editing the June Wallpaper Set, which will soon move into rendering and post-processing.
After reviewing it internally, we’ve decided to rework Scene 4 with more unique poses, completely rewritten dialogue, and improved lighting to better match the tone we want for the episode.
This week brought a few technical hiccups, but also solid progress overall on Episode 2. AB began rendering the first scene of the episode, but some errors were detected during the process. Rick jumped in to fix those issues, and the scene will now be rendered again from the start to ensure quality and consistency.
Meanwhile, Scene 2 was fully rendered by AB — the only thing left to complete it are the animations, which will be added soon. Rick also began working on this month’s Wallpaper Set, and we’re excited to share a preview once the rendering process is complete.
Additionally, we’ve made the decision to include a Walkthrough feature directly in the game starting with Episode 2. This will help players who prefer a more guided experience or who want to explore specific outcomes without missing key scenes.
