π° Dear princes, time to learn more about the neighboring countries!
The world around Solmont is far from peaceful β mighty countries, ambitious monarchs and unexpected dangers reside everywhere. Today we're lifting the veil and telling you about two neighboring countries. Who are they? What lives do they lead? Who is a potential friendβ¦ or foe? π₯π€
π Elavarra β a rich and blooming kingdom
Elavarra is a mighty kingdom with plentiful natural resources. It's famous for it's fine wine, fertile soils and advanced agriculture. Thanks to it's blooming economy and legendary cavalry, Elavarra is regarded as one of the strongest sovereignsπΎπ
A monarch rules this kingdom, known by the name Romuald II. He has no sons, and princess Tais is his only daughter πΈ He wants to arrange his daughterβs marriage: he dreams of the day his grandson unites Elavarra and Solmontβs royal families. The trade relations between our countries is very close, and a lot is on the table depending on their relations πβοΈ
π Kingdom of the Full Moon β theocracy, matriarchal rule and military might
There's a divine monarch ruling the Kingdom of the Full Moon. Formally, the ruler is Soraβs mother, but her mind has faded, and her daughter has long taken the reins of power. She is worshipped by her folk as the Moon goddess incarnate, and her horns are a sign of divine presenceππ
It's important to note that this is a theocratic and militaristic country with a matriarchical rule βοΈ Women hold all the power, and males are seen as nothing more than a resource. Princess Sora can have tens, maybe even hundreds of lovers, and no one can refuse her π
When the main character was still a child, Solmont went to war with the Kingdom of the Full Moon. The conflict ended with a 24-year long peace treaty β this number is sacred with the Kingdomβs folk and represents the lunar cycle π The peace treaty ends in two years, and Sora openly claims about her intent to rekindle the war. However, you have a chance to make her change her stance and save your country from conflict π₯
Which neighbours would you ally with and why? Does Elavarraβs might bother you? What about the Kingdom of the Full Moon β are you ready to start a second war or are you trying to avoid it at all costs? Write your opinions in the comments ππ¬
Secrets of the crown: what kind of ruler was your father?
Greetings, dear people of the realm! π°
Have you ever wondered who the protagonist's father really was? The royal chronicles paint him as a wise and great ruler π The people admired him, the nobles bowed down to him, and the kingdom seemed to prosper under him... But is it really true? βοΈ
The crown hiding dark secrets underneath π
At the very beginning of the story, we see the king and queen riding in a carriage. They open up to each other, confessing their infidelities. The king reveals that he has an illegitimate child that he has hidden away from the palace π
But the queen doesn't have time to reveal her secret... because just moments later, the carriage falls off the bridgeπ₯
After their tragic deaths, you, the only heir, are found in a monastery and brought to the palace π Now you must not only prepare to rule, but also unravel the mysteries of your father's past - and perhaps these mysteries will turn out to be far more intricate than you could have imagined...π€ A great ruler who didn't know how to manage money? π°
Under his rule, the royal treasury was emptied. The only one who saved the state from collapse was a rich merchant Laurent Frassini π He lent huge sums of money, but the king couldn't just take the moneyβπ»
As a token of gratitude, Frassini received the title of baron, lands and the post of Minister of Finance - a rare case of a simple merchant rising so high π
So what was it? A great diplomatic move or a desperate move by a cornered ruler? Perhaps the king really did seek reform and saw the merchant as a new force for the kingdom... but maybe he just had no choice π° Everyone tells you that he was perfect π But then how do you explain his actions? How could he be such a skillful ruler and yet allow financial collapse? And why do so few people have anything real to say about him, other than on-duty praise? π
It's up to you to find the answers to these questions for yourself. And it is possible that they will change not only your view of the past, but also the very future of the kingdom π₯
