Azalea Defeated Animation Finished!

Last week I started Azalea's defeated animation, and it turned out to be trickier than I expected, but its finally done

Getting the timing, weight, and impact just right took a lot of iteration, but I'm satisfied with how it came out for now.

her staff detaches from her grip on the final blow and spins through the air, and flies off right before she collapses.

It adds that extra layer of drama and visual flair I was looking for

If she gets defeated while in the air the animation will pause at a falling frame, and will only proceed when she's on ground again, so its an animation that works for both cases

Whats Next?

Next animation in line and the last one is Azalea's spawn animation

This one will be an alternative version of the falling animation but will receive the same treatment as the capra spawn animation, so it will be completed faster since the poses are already created

After that we'll start the last bottleneck of development which is creating the level design

Azalea damage animation B [Done!]

The animation that plays when you take damage from behind is now done! Next, I just need to finish the Capra Demon attack animation before I can start developing the game's combat system and move on to the next phase of the project.

Greetings!

The progress on Magical girl Azalea is going well!

I'm still focusing on animations before implementing the game combat system and logic, here you can see a preview of the taking damage animation with all clothes layers on

I updated the animation a bit to add a bit extra boob bonce!

The next animations will be:

• Azalea taking damage from the back

• Capra demon 2 Attack combo

And also i'm gonna review the capra demon walk cycle a bit to check if it needs further adjustments

And add an extra boob bouce to capra demon taking damage animation and try to tweak her leg position on it

After that combat implementation will start which includes things like:

• enemy AI further development and player detection for attacking

• hurtbox implementations

• damage animation trigger logic

• knockback and camera adjustment on the player for knockbacks if needed

• hitstops and camera shakes

hit particles pixel fx

• The project is taking shape even further and it's getting closer to the demo release, i'm gonna update the roadmap in a few days and review it
