Finished Chapter 1! - Megiddo fan translation

Hi, everyone! 😸💖

Lately, I've been focused on translating "Kimi ga Yobu, Megiddo no Oka de" (君が呼ぶ、メギドの丘で), also known as "Voices from Har Megiddo".
It's a 3D erotic Visual Novel + JRPG by Leaf / AQUAPLUS, released in December 2008.

TL;DR: Your support is necessary (and very much appreciated!) to ensure I can keep working full-time on Megiddo's fan translation. 🙏

Disclaimer: I still plan on developing my game "NekoSuki! ~ Kitty Love Adventure" and posting SFW/NSFW artworks of my original characters.
But as of now, I'd like to prioritize the Megiddo translation project. I hope people interested in my original projects can understand that, and I'm sorry for any delays this may cause. 🙏
I do plan on making progress on NekoSuki from time to time, though. ;3

I found out about Megiddo around 2010, after I played "Tears to Tiara 1" (PC version), another excellent eroge by Leaf, with an excellent fan translation by Dakkodango Translations.
Since then, I've always wanted to play Megiddo, but the game remained untranslated for all these years.

Since the end of 2024, I've been working (from time to time) on my own fan translation of Megiddo, while I do my first full playthrough of the game.
The translation progress was stalled for a while, because I spent the last few weeks/months doing work on unrelated jobs.
But I've been making good progress since last week, as I'm not working on other jobs currently.

I'm still at the beginning of Megiddo, I just finished translating Chapter 1 of the story. However, I already peeked at later story events and the game's ending, to have better context. :)

The game has 8 chapters, Chapter 1 is the game's prologue (a long sequence of story events, without any battles).
I haven't inserted all of the currently translated text in-game, but I plan to do this very soon.
After that, I'll share a "Chapter 1 patch", which will also include the beginning of Chapter 2. ;)

By the way, if you're waiting for my translation to play this game fully, I have to say that my translation process is VERY slow (and I don't want to make a rushed translation xD).
Especially as (for now) I also have to work on unrelated freelance projects, to sustain myself.

In this current scenario, where I'm not working full-time on the translation, I'll probably take a few years to finish translating the whole game.

But I do wish to translate everything, eventually!
This game's story is such an underrated masterpiece, it deserves to be experienced by more people.
I hope my translation efforts can help Megiddo become more accessible! :3

To be transparent about my subscription goals:
I can say that earning at least $500 USD monthly would be enough to sustain myself.
That will afford me to work full-time on my projects (i.e, Meggido translation, NekoSuki game development).

As I like to say, of all the thousands (millions?) of people who could be interested in my projects (anime fans, Japanese games fans, eroge fans, etc.).
If only 100 of them donated $5 USD every month, this would already make my projects sustainable!

I'll be VERY grateful to everyone who helps achieve that goal, and I'll do my best to keep working on my projects and make more frequent progress updates/project releases. 😸💖

Considering the ideal scenario mentioned above, if I work full-time on Megiddo's translation, I believe I'll take less than a year to fully translate the game.
At least the main story, as there's also lots of other stuff to translate, like items, skills, enemy names, battle text, etc.

Lately, I ended up not making much progress on NekoSuki.
But I did make progress on another project, one that I wanted to begin since quite some time ago... 😺

I'm playing "Kimi ga Yobu, Megiddo no Oka de", an eroge (18+) JRPG by Leaf, and I'm translating the game as I play it! 😻❤️

I aim to use this project as a practical way to learn Japanese. And to also make this game more accessible to overseas fans. ;3

The game's text font has some quirks, as it was meant to display Japanese text.
But as a first iteration, I can easily paste my translated text into the game's script files.
It's so cool to see my translated text in-game! 😺

Later on, I also plan on translating the game into Brazilian Portuguese 😉🇧🇷
