My Rating: 🧡🧡🧡🧡🖤
If you know anything about me, you know I am a huge sucker for zombie-killing games. I don’t know what it is about them that calls to me so much, but they do. My ultimate favorite zombie-killing series has to be Left 4 Dead, followed closely by the Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombie Mode. So when I saw the trailer for this, I immediately wanted to give it a try, even though I hadn’t seen the movie yet. So when it became available on my favorite console (the Nintendo Switch), I dived in.
Boy.
There are only three things I had a problem with:
     1. The game is too short. You could sit down and beat all the levels in about an hour if you wanted, and once you beat them, replaying them is a bit… tedious. Challenging but tedious.
     2. The AI-controlled teammates have the annoying (and constant!) habit of getting right in front of you when you are on a shooting spree, and in this game, they take damage. And they bitch about being shot. Even though they moved in front of your line of fire while you were shooting. I died so many times because of this – having to stop shooting, reposition myself, only to have it happen again a few seconds later. This loli was practically frothing at the mouth at times…
     3. Tokyo. The very first Tokyo level. IS INSANELY FLIPPING HARD. I died more times on that damn level than all the others combined. It was a cakewalk until the end, and that’s where things took a deep dive into insanity. Success seemed to hinge on the random goodies the computer doles out; if it gives you the wrong things, there is no way you can make it. 😭
Despite the above three gripes, the game is fantastic and undeniably loads of fun. And the character cinematics, though short, really dig into their pasts, making them more than just two-dimensional zombie killers. I’m a huge fan of character development (something you can probably tell from my writing), and this game does that in spades. Of course, you can’t see the back story until you successfully beat a level with the character, but still. It was fun getting to know about them. It makes their dialog in-game make so much more sense.
I consider this game beat because I slaughtered all the levels and unlocked all the character cinematics.

Tomb Raider (Steam)

Playing this game - which has been in my Steam library foreeeeva - was an amazing experience. The amount of time, love, and detail they put into this thing is evident from the very first few minutes, and it only gets better the more you play.
Playing the game is an experience unlike anything I've ever had. It seemed like they put me smack in the middle of a high-budget Hollywood film and threw in brain twisters to ensure you're paying attention. I could feel my heartbeat increase during many of the cinematic action sequences and the fight scenes... They were intense.
I love this game. Intensely. And so far, I've yet to find another game that gets me so involved so quickly - and so thoroughly - and for so long. The Last of Us came close, but it simply wasn't Tomb Raider. If you even remotely like action games, this is definitely for you. And right now, as I write this, it's currently available for $2.99 (80% off!) on Steam. Go get it!

The Last of Us (PS4)

Winner of over 200 Game of the Year awards, The Last of Us™ has been rebuilt for the PlayStation®4 system. Now featuring full 1080p, higher-resolution character models, improved shadows and lighting, in addition to several other gameplay improvements.
20 years after a pandemic has radically changed known civilization, infected humans run wild and survivors are killing each other for food, weapons; whatever they can get their hands on. Joel, a violent survivor, is hired to smuggle a 14 year-old girl, Ellie, out of an oppressive military quarantine zone, but what starts as a small job soon transforms into a brutal journey across the U.S.
The Last of Us Remastered includes the Abandoned Territories Map Pack, Reclaimed Territories Map Pack, and the critically acclaimed The Last of Us: Left Behind Single Player campaign that combines themes of survival, loyalty, and love with tense, survival-action gameplay.

🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡 (5/5+)
There are few games I've loved as much as this. It was one of those few gems that I hated to play because I knew the longer I did, the sooner it would be over. I can count on one hand the number of games that have made me feel this way.
What isn't to love about this? Ellie is basically a little digital me a few years ago, while Joel reminds me so much of my big brother, it's crazy.
The story is deep, touching, and real, while the voice acting and ambiance of the whole thing are absolutely cinematic. And there are so many challenges and unique situations the game throws you in... this game is a masterpiece. I can easily see why it won over 200 game of the year awards and why it was enhanced for the PS4 and is even coming to PS5.
It should be. It DESERVES to be.
If you haven't played this game and you own a console it's on, please slap yourself - hard - and go buy a copy. I'll even help. Go here.

Resident Evil Revelations Collection (Switch)

The critically acclaimed survival horror title takes players back to the events that took place between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, revealing the truth about the T-Abyss virus. Resident Evil Revelations features series favorites Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield, plus their respective BSAA partners - Parker Luciani and Jessica Sherawat. The action begins on board a supposedly abandoned cruise ship, the ‘Queen Zenobia’, where horrors lurk around every corner, before players head for the mainland and the devastated city of Terragrigia. With limited ammo and weapons available, the race is on to survive the horror of Resident Evil Revelations.
Enhance your gameplay experience even further with additional motion controls that let you aim and wield your weapons with greater accuracy on the Nintendo Switch.
  • Survival horror makes it way to the Nintendo Switch with this 2 game collection featuring Resident Evil Revelations and a downloadable voucher for Resident Evil Revelations 2
  • Resident Evil Revelations features Jill Valentine and Claire Redfield as they investigate an abandoned cruise ship where terror lurks around every corner
  • Resident Evil Revelations 2 features 2 separate, but intertwined storylines featuring Claire Redfield and Barry Burton as they find themselves on an abandoned prison island
  • The fan favorite Raid Mode is available in both titles and is packed with solo/co-op content to keep players running and gunning for hours on end
  • All previous add-ons and DLC are included for both titles

My Rating:
🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
This game right here... OK, here's the thing: I don’t like jump scares. I don’t like them in movies, in real life, and I definitely don’t like them in video games. A jump scare every now and then is OK, but when a medium uses them as their primary source of impacting the viewer... no. Just no. I've walked out on several movies because of this, and have zero regrets for doing so.
I wrote all that to write this: the Resident Evil series has always been my sole exception to my jump scare rule. They do jump scares right.
Ever since the release of the first game, I’ve fallen in love with everything Resident Evil: the movies, the comics, the animes, the games... these two games here, Revelations and Revelations 2, were the only Resident Evil games I hadn’t played, so the day they became available on the Switch I snatched them up.
And I have to admit: they are absolutely amazing! They remind me heavily of the original Resident Evil (thankfully minus the strange and awkward tank control system of moving), and the graphics are crisp and the animation fluid. And the boss battles are massive, amazing, and deliciously hard. The minigame included in the first game is fun, and Raid Mode is completely immersing. This is one of those games I will never regret spending money on, as it has given me hours upon hours of enjoyment (and still is, as I’m trying to get top rated in all the Raid Mode stages).
Money well spent.

My Rating: 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
I’m not gonna lie: I have never in life played a Streets of Rage game. Or games like it. I’m usually not into side-scrolling beat ‘em ups like Double Dragons, Battle Toads, and Golden Axe. I’ve always been more of an RPG player, and games like this just seemed repetitive and boring. The only reason I even have this game is that it was gifted to me by a friend/reader. It sat in my game holder for the longest time before I became bored enough to give it a try.
Holy shit.
This is so much fun! 😳I loved everything about it, from the crisp graphics to the different characters to the fighting styles to the... just, everything! I especially like how, if you have a hard time beating a particular stage, you can adjust the difficulty (which gives you bonuses like extra lives and power-ups from the start) to make things easier. I did that a few times. The game gets hard!
It reminds me of those arcade games I used to watch my big brother play when we were little, games he used to pump quarter after quarter into while we were waiting for our parents to finish up with something or the other. I think his favorite for the longest time was The Simpsons, and I have to admit it was entertaining to watch. This game reminds me of that, but better. I had no idea how much fun actually playing it would be.
I think I found a new genre to play around with! I liked it so much that I went and got all the other Streets of Rage games for the Sega Genesis and immediately started in on them.
Even if you’re not a fan of the genre, you might want to pick it up and give it a try, or at least watch some YouTube video showcasing it. You might, like me, be surprised. 🥰

Mirror (PC)

This is a game that combines match-3, GALGAME elements and beauties. If you want to learn more about those beauties, you need to best them first. How the story goes is choice-based so your choices will ultimately decide their fate.

My Rating: 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
So I went into this game expecting something akin to HuniePop, and boy was I waylaid. Comparing this to HuniePop would be like comparing National Lampoon: European Vacation to the uncensored version of Caligula.
This is not a bad thing.
I wasn’t exactly shocked, of course: the screenshots and user reviews gave me a reasonably good idea of what I was getting into. I learned my lesson from HuniePop, though – before I started investing myself, I went online, found the uncensor patch (which I included at the end of this post for your convenience), and installed it. I’m glad I did. This game is LEWD. Like, professional lewd.
HuniePop may be more a more refined, polished game, but this... this is something on a whole other level. It’s a match-three game, yes, but the strategy and kinkiness are on a whole other level. It allows your freak flag to fly, too, as once you beat each girl, you can enter a sort of free-use mode and just have your way with them—so much fun.
I enjoyed the game so much that before I beat the main game, I went out and bought all the DLCs, which added extra girls and tidbits. This also made me hunt down the uncensor patch for the DLC (which I also attached to this post), and I’m glad I did. The DLC is so much kinkier than the original game. And the girls are way hotter. 😅
I included what has to be my favorite review for this game on Steam, by a user named Bedroom Warfare:
It is THE tile-matching game to beat all tile-matching games. Outclassing most, if not all, of its peers. Every man, woman, and child should have this game in their library. Truly I am blessed to have played such a game.Oh, and there’s a little bit of hentai AND story sprinkled somewhere in there as well. Dunno why you would get the game for that though smhFor real though, it’s a good, short game with decent stories for each of the girls. The voice acting and CGs are excellent for the price I got it and the DLC for. Yes, I got them at half off, ’cause I am that much of a rat bastard.Speaking of the DLC (The Lost Shards), it is definitely worth getting as the additional 4 girls also have special scenes that more than make up for the lack of quantity.Wanna burn some time and money on some cheap hentai? Get Mirror + The Lost Shards DLC.

That pretty much says it all. 😂 Get the game from Steam. You won’t regret it!
