✨ New Logo, QoL Everywhere & Browser Progress
Hey folks!
This update is all about quality of life improvements. Lots of small things that together make TJC feel noticeably better. Let’s go.
New logo! 🎨
Probably the most noticeable change: TJC has a new logo. I decided it was finally time to retire the, ehm, “temporary” logo that ChatGPT generated when I first started this, and replace it with something more representative. Since TJC now also provides funscripts and toy integration in general, I wanted the new logo to reflect that in some way.
So what do you think? Do you like it? Does it represent what TJC does better now?
The logo also comes in all tiered variants and shows right on the page instead of the blank controller. While I was at it, the settings button got a new shape with a proper status indicator, replacing the old background color approach which looked quite ugly. And the flickering of the request syncing button is fixed too.
Settings sync properly now
All settings are now properly synced live. For example, if you hid the funscript dropzone, you previously had to refresh the page for it to actually hide. Same with linking the extension: after linking, you had to refresh for all the features to unlock. Not something you do every day, sure, but for new members activating the extension for the first time it looked pretty lame. This is now addressed.
The saving system got some love 💾
When you have a save slot sitting there for a while, the target video is usually buried somewhere deep on joidb, and finding it again was quite a pain. Well, not anymore. You can now quickly open the correct video either from the saves tab in settings, or when a video prompts you to pick a save, the incompatible saves now have an open button too.
Custom seek is back on rule34videos
I noticed that on the https://rule34video.com site, custom seek stopped working because the site’s own mechanism was overriding the one from TJC. That’s fixed, TJC is in charge again, and you can have your custom seek time back.
Dynamic full strokes 🎢
And lastly, the feature you’ll probably like the most: any funscript can now be dynamically converted to full strokes.
What does that mean? Until now, when creating funscripts, I usually made multiple variants, like half pace and full strokes, especially for JOI videos. That’s an unnecessary burden for me, and it also made the selection confusing in terms of which variant to pick. So from now on, typically only two variants will be available for JOI videos: standard and half pace. If you want full strokes, you can simply enable it for either variant independently.
This is also one of the reasons I decided to have my own funscript format. I can override specific points in the file to be treated differently in full strokes mode. For example, if some fast segment would be too much for the devices at full range, I can set it to go a bit less than full strokes. There are many other cases where this comes in handy.
Browser progress 🌐
These were the most visible changes, but this update also contains some important background work, mostly related to the TJC Browser. And I finally have some decent progress to show you...
So behold: your ultimate, ehm, math homework collection, easily accessible right from the browser, with the full TJC experience, toy control included, and fully offline.
It took a bit longer than expected. I was dealing with performance issues, as it was loading quite slowly and had pretty high RAM usage. But I’ve now stress tested it with over 5000 videos loaded, and I can scroll through without any lag while everything loads almost instantly. The whole thing eats around 200 MB of RAM, which still felt like more than it should need... but then, just for fun, I opened a plain Chrome window with nothing loaded, and to my surprise it ate more than my library with 5000 videos in it! So it seems I might be overthinking it a bit. 😄
I guess this is where the difference shows between a mere vibecoder and a real programmer who uses AI as a productivity tool. 💪
So I’m finally a tiny bit closer to releasing. But don’t get your hopes too high yet, there is still much more work to be done.

This update is actually much bigger than it may look at first. Let’s go one by one.
Funscript heatmaps 🌡️
The funscript renting screen can now show you a heatmap. It’s hidden by default and only revealed when you explicitly ask for it, since in theory it can be considered a spoiler if you haven’t seen the video yet.
And once shown, it’s not just a general idea of where the fast and slow parts are. You get a legend with the actual speeds, and you can hover over the heatmap to see the exact speed at that moment. Pretty neat, right? Currently the heatmap shows only there, but it’s not a problem to add it elsewhere too. I’m not really sure how important this is to you, so let me know in the comments if there are other places you’d like to see it.
Vibration safety stop is now off by default
Another quick change to funscripts and toy control in general: the vibrating safety stop feature is now disabled by default.
Turns out this feature doesn’t really make sense. When I first added it, I simply didn’t have enough experience with toys and funscripts, and back then it seemed like a good idea. But funscripts for vibrating devices and funscripts for automated strokers are just too different. It makes no sense to use a vibrating device with a funscript made for strokers, and vice versa. Worse, the feature was actively sabotaging funscripts made specifically for vibrating devices. Hence the change.
If you find it useful and want to keep it, you can still enable it back in the settings.
Website improvements
I have my own blog now 💪 What does this mean? Freedom. No guidelines dictating what I can and cannot post there. I’ll try to keep the posts as uniform as I can, but differences will occur, starting with this very post: the version on the web contains sauce links, which I can’t put on Patreon.
Tier refresh button. Since funscripts are now a thing, a few of you decided to upgrade your membership (thank you, really!), but the change was not automatically picked up. Your tier was only evaluated on login, so you had to sign out and back in, which was not really obvious. There’s now a simple refresh button in your profile you can hit right after upgrading.
Funscript filtering. Same as on the video page, you can now filter funscripts for Patreon exclusive videos.
The funscript maker got a hell of an upgrade 🤖
It can now detect beat bars in certain videos and create points according to them. All fully locally in the browser. No hallucinating AI needed, just pure algorithms, math and computer vision.
And the same goes for audio. Manually inserting points at the moment I hear a beat turned out to be way too much pain, so I explored whether the sound could be detected and the beats identified automatically. After all, a beat is a pretty sudden change in the audio, it should be detectable, right? Guess what. It is 💪💪💪
The funscript maker is shaping up really nicely and I’d like to release it publicly at some point, but it’s too soon for that. I built it as my internal tool only, and currently it’s not very intuitive. If you don’t know how to operate it, you might have quite a hard time figuring it out.
Payment processor... actual progress?! 💳
I might have finally made some progress on the payment processor. It seems I was finally able to get past the eternal “Will you process for my website?” question and actually start setting up the account and dealing with the integration.
I’m not gonna lie, I’m quite hyped that any progress was made here. But I intend to approach this with the utmost care. After all, your money will be involved. No mistakes are allowed here.
And lastly... some pesky bugs 🐛
Turns out a few bugs were hiding for quite a decent amount of time. Peak video was broken. Remember Wanna Play C.U.M Game from HoloJoi? Part of the game was broken: buffs and debuffs were not applied correctly, and in some cases the player position could glitch and render in the top left corner instead of the correct tile. All of this is now fixed and the video works properly again. Hopefully. 😅
And... If for any reason you have not seen this video, you should definitely change that! Oh and by the way, did I mention that in this video all the TJC features are completely free for everyone? Meaning that you get the full experience of the board game mechanics with TJC without a membership. However, this will not be the case with the upcoming Wanna Play CUM Game LVLUP video so you can try the first video so you know what you will be missing out.
But lesson learned. With the constantly growing catalog it’s simply not possible to reliably test every video by hand, so I’ll need to add some crash reporting that can detect a TJC crash and tell me which video needs my attention. That’s a task for the future though.
There are more changes, but I believe this post is already long enough, so let’s save those for next time.

🚀 Funscripts Are Here!
Hey there!
This one is huge. Funscripts are released! At least partially. I don't consider this a finished feature just yet, I have more things planned there, but for now it's time to test what's already in place. I'll be very happy if you can give me some feedback on how it works for you and whether it's easy enough to understand.
What this means for you
If you open a supported video that has a funscript available, you'll see a green message indicating it. Clicking the message lets you select a variant (there can be more funscripts for one video). Confirm the selection and you're good to go: just connect your toy like you normally would and play the video. The funscript silently follows along in the background.
No downloading anything, no file handling. This removes the last bit of friction with toys.
Obviously, there isn't much in there at the moment. But it's the same story as the video catalog... at the start there also wasn't much, so please be patient and give it some time. In the meantime, you can submit a video you'd like a funscript for.
How renting works 📼
Currently only renting is available, because I am STILL looking for a payment processor and barely any progress was made there.
Renting works basically the same way video rental stores used to work back then... Wait, are you even old enough to remember physical video rentals? You know, the thing where you walk into a store, pick a movie on a disc, take it home, watch it, and return it afterwards, all for a fraction of the price of owning the movie? Funscript renting works in a very similar way.
As part of your membership, Funscript Points (FP) have started accumulating for you, and you can spend them to rent funscripts for a certain time.
At first I wanted to add this only to the Silver and Gold tiers, so they'd finally make a bit more sense (let's be honest, the additive benefits there are currently not that strong). But I decided to add it to all tiers, with only the amount differing:
Bronze: 4 FP per month... I know, very limited, but remember it wasn't supposed to be there at all 😄
Silver: 16 FP per month
Gold: 32 FP per month
If you're a math freak, you might have noticed all the amounts are divisible by 4. That's because FP is granted weekly. In your profile you can see your current points and when your next refill happens.
Everyone gets 5 FP to start 🎁
To get things running, everyone has been granted 5 FP. Yes, everyone, even free accounts. So go ahead and test how it works for you. And if you like the new feature, I'll be very happy if you decide to subscribe and support the project.
As for purchasing funscripts and actually owning your copy: that's currently blocked, because it needs the payment processor that seems near impossible to find. Hence the renting system for now.
One more toy control improvement
You now have the option to remember your connection method, so the extension no longer asks every single time you want to connect your toy. Just tick the remember checkbox at the very bottom.
Browser status
Not much progress this time. I ran into some technical difficulties that I need to untie first, and I was also focusing on improving my funscript workflow, so I can keep the same quality while making them much faster.

I have some pretty bad news for you all. But I also have good news (sort of), so let's start with the annoying stuff and end with something nicer.
The browser name... yeah, about that 🥲
We cannot use the White Chrome name for the browser. It directly violates Google's trademark.
This one is entirely my fault. I should have confirmed the names with the law firm before making the poll, not after. So sorry about that... I gave you options I can't actually fulfill.
And it gets worse: almost all of the listed names violate something, so no name is purely clean. However, TJC Browser turned out to be the least risky one, so we will probably need to settle on that. I know it wasn't exactly the most popular option, but it is what it is. I don't want to get sued just because of a name. And frankly, I don't have the budget anymore to have the law firm verify a whole new set of names for a second poll.
The silver lining
The reason I don't have that budget is that the money went somewhere useful: my site finally has proper legal pages. This should have been the last blocker for adding a payment processor, so hopefully I can now finally advance on that front as well.
Browser progress
As for the browser itself, I'm now working on the offline collection playback and browsing. But honestly, I'm not really happy with how it currently works, so there's no progress to show yet. I'll keep tweaking it until it works better and looks more polished.
Okey, and now the good stuff: funscript requests!
I now have a basic listing of the funscripts. I'm still refining my workflow to make them efficiently while keeping the highest possible quality, and now it's time to start experimenting with more videos. And what better way to select those videos than you submitting the ones you'd actually like?
This lets me practice on different video types, and it also pumps up the catalogue a bit, so once this feature is fully finished there will actually be some content to use from day one.
This time, however, only paid members can submit funscript requests, and everyone gets exactly one ticket. You get a new ticket only after your current submission is finished.
How funscripts will work (stating this up front)
To prevent any possible confusion in the future, let me be clear about the plan now rather than later:
Funscripts will be sold separately as digital content (the legal pages are already prepared for that). They will come in my own format that only TJC can understand, to prevent illegal redistribution. Using my own format will actually have more benefits beyond just piracy protection, but more about that later. You will own your copy and can use it as many times as you want.
Given that making a funscript takes significantly longer than syncing a video for the interactive overlay, I believe this is more than justified. However, I don't want to be too greedy, so let me cheer you up a bit: funscript access will also be part of your membership. Even if you don't buy them, you'll be able to "rent" them for a short time and use them, just with a limit on how many you can use.

This one is big, especially if you're into toy control. And it starts with something important.
If toy control never worked for you... read this ⚠️
There was a pretty important bug hiding in the toy control feature the entire time, and I only noticed it now. It mattered how you selected the funscript. If you clicked the blue area and picked the file through the file picker, everything worked correctly. But if you drag and dropped the file instead... nothing. It loaded the file, you could connect the toy, but when the action was supposed to happen, it just did not control anything.
And here's the thing: there was no way anyone could guess that selecting the same file through the file picker instead of drag and drop would fix it. So if you tried the toy control in the past, concluded it simply doesn't work, and moved on... it was most likely this. The bug is now fixed, so I'd really encourage you to give it another shot. It works. For real this time. 😅
JOIGang partnership: Phase 1 complete 🤝
The first phase of the JOIGang partnership is done! What does that mean, you ask? Right now, two major things.
Memberships are unified. You can subscribe to JOIGang through their website or their Patreon, and if you go for the Souteneur or Sugar Daddy tier, you get the full TJC experience as well. Souteneur gives you the Silver Supporter tier, Sugar Daddy gives you Gold Supporter.
And the best part? This is the standard, full TJC experience. You can use TJC on every other site it supports. It's not scoped to the JOIGang site only.
Direct funscript support. Yes, you heard that right. TJC will now look for available funscripts on the JOIGang site, and if it finds some, it just lets you select the one you want and that's it. You connect your toy as usual and it just works. No friction, no downloading anything. Simply enable TJC in the player and link it through the JOIGang site.

Aaaaand speaking of funscripts in general... the JOIGang funscripts are pretty much a small sneak peek of how I imagine things will work once my own funscripts become a thing.
I am now experimenting with the creation process to make it a bit more bearable. The Satori Komeiji funscript I made took me over 8 hours. For a 5 minute video. Which is ridiculous... So... Behold!
My own funscript maker! I can tune it however I like, so I can work faster and more precisely. The next video I experimented with was about 8 minutes long and took me just about 6 hours. So there is definitely progress. 😅
Settings polish
I also made some visual tweaks in the extension settings. The UI felt a bit messy, so I made adjustments to properly fit the new SubscribeStar option and added some nice animations. I know it's quite pointless, but it makes the extension look much more polished and matured.
Survey reminder 📋
Before we finish, I'd like to remind you about the survey for the default sites in the JOI browser. Unfortunately, not many people contributed so far. Maybe it was a mistake to combine it with the general audience survey, as that might have scared some people away. So let me clarify: everything beyond the site questions is optional. As I mentioned in the previous post, the partnership has multiple phases, and that still stands. This time though, there will be a really big pause. The next thing we're preparing is really big and very ambitious, so there is no release schedule. My best estimate is somewhere around Q2 2027, but who knows...

Not much new stuff in this update. Basically no new stuff at all. However, even though there is nothing new, I actually have a LOT of news.
I'll skip the background works again so let's go one by one with the things that matters for you.
Chrome updates are less painful now 🎉
An actual feature for Chrome users: you no longer need to backup your saves before updating!
I'm sure this was very annoying for all of you, so hopefully it's now addressed. Before updating, you no longer need to remove the previous version. Just keep it there, click "Load unpacked" like it was your first time installing, and it will pair with your existing extension and update it without adding a duplicate.
Be cautious though. It might be wise to still make a backup in case anything goes wrong. That's also why I left the update message intact... it will still tell you to backup your saves, just to be sure. I'll remove that prompt once this is stable and well tested, so please report any weird behavior if the update process doesn't keep your save files.
Partnership with JOIGang 🤝
I partnered with JOIGang and we are cooking something very interesting for you. It's a very ambitious project and it will take a lot of time to finish, so I won't be telling you too much just yet. What it means for you right now is that TJC is fully supported on the JOIGang site, and you get the same functionality as everywhere else. That includes the toy control feature, which until now was not working on JOIGang due to technical limitations.
There's really a lot of work ahead and we'll be launching in multiple phases, so I'll share more when it gets relevant again.
SubscribeStar is live... and a small rant 💸
SubscribeStar is now live as an alternative platform to Patreon, as part of the migration towards my own subscription system. Which, unfortunately, is still not looking good.
And honestly, this whole experience makes me wonder: what value does money have when you can't spend it on a fully legal business? How is it possible, and even legal, that two companies literally dictate what you can and can't spend your hard earned money on?
I used to be a pretty hard anti-crypto person. I thought crypto was a literal scam. But at this point... how is it actually different from the "real" money? I was naive enough to think that when I have money in a bank account, the bank physically has that money and I can just walk in and withdraw everything as cash. Surprisingly, that's absolutely not how things work. The "real" money is just a number on your screen, and the cash for it doesn't exist. So how is that different from crypto, really?
So if Visa and Mastercard don't want you to use your money... well, let's just not use cards and use crypto instead. How many of you already use crypto? Would paying with crypto be acceptable for you? Would you be willing to set up a wallet if you don't have one yet? Let me know.
First browser sneak peek 👀
Ok, time to stop the rant and show you something more interesting instead. I now have the really very first sneak peek of the browser, as I imagine it will look:
What do you think? Pretty wild, right? Imagine opening your browser and immediately seeing what's new on joidb and which new videos got synced. Well, hopefully soon enough you won't have to imagine.
And that brings us to... a survey! 📋
As you can see, you'll have a lot of quick access links for your spicy sites, and that's where the last and most important thing of this post comes in.
Let's shape the default links together, so they're sensible and cover the most popular sites out of the box, and you don't have to customize much. For that I obviously need your help: fill in the survey and share your most visited spicy sites, so I can pick the most popular ones and make them easily accessible.
And if you want, I'd also like to get to know the people here a bit better. TJC does not collect any telemetry or usage data, so I have basically zero knowledge of who my audience actually is. If you're up for it, you can share some really basic stuff about yourself in the survey too. Completely optional, of course.
And lastly... some sauce tips 😈 Let me whisper something into your ear... Really good video is coming soon. Some hot succs are gonna blue ball you and then drain you to the last drop.
And if you don't want to wait... there's actually a really awesome succ series that got synced recently. The series is real peak, and it's such a shame the creator is not active anymore. But maybe that might change, PalJOI actually reached out to me, so maybe if we cheer him up a bit he might get back to making videos. We really need someone to keep the bar high given the amount of mediocre jois out there.
