🛠️ Development Update

Hey everyone. Sorry for the wait, it's been a while and I know it. This project is something I work on during my free time alongside everything else, which means I don't get a lot of hours per week to dedicate to it. That's why it takes so long. I just wanted to be upfront about that, and I'm sorry for the wait regardless. Anyway, let's talk about the game.

Since the last post, things have shifted a bit. There have been some changes and quite a few additions, which is another reason why it's taking longer. Here's a rundown of what's been added or changed.

📋 What's new

First, as mentioned in the last post, the next version was around 75-80% done. But while rewriting the Mayor, I decided to go ahead and write part of the main storyline now, tying it directly to her character since she plays an important role in the game. So in the next version, aside from Landlady, the Mayor will be the character with the biggest changes. I won't say more than that to avoid spoilers.

One thing I do want to clarify now: Unveiled Desire is not a multiple ending game. You'll have choices, but they won't change the direction of the story. At most they'll give you access to slightly different content, but everything leads to the same ending.

🖼️ Gallery

A new Gallery menu is being added, accessible directly from the Main Menu. It will show every image and video you've seen in the game, across all your saves, it's not tied to a specific save file. From there you can place content into slots, choose how many slots to display, and view everything fullscreen in a loop.

🐧 Linux compatibility

Internal changes have been made to make the game run on Linux. It's still in testing, so there may be bugs. I'll need player feedback to confirm everything works properly.

➕ Other additions

• You'll be able to become a professor at the university, with actions available from your office
• Two new drugs added: coke and meth, more expensive to buy but significantly more profitable
• An encyclopedia has been added for players who feel lost, giving more info on stats, mechanics, and other things
• Bug fixes and some design changes

📊 Where things stand

Officially, nothing new is being added. The priority is finishing this version. The only thing left is completing Landlady's rework, and that's already well underway. So the new version should be out soon, end of the week in the best case scenario, but don't hold me to that if something comes up.

🛠️ Dev Update - 2026 / 04 / 03

Hello everyone,

Despite a very rocky start, which was clearly my fault, I still want to thank you for the feedback on the game. I was able to take into account each piece of feedback I received, and the day after the game's release, I had made the decision to completely overhaul the corruption system of the game.

I will therefore explain the important changes, and what is coming soon:

🗑️ Complete removal of the corruption & affection system

Originally, I had put this in place trying to create a dynamic system in the game, but I quickly understood after the release that the target audience was absolutely not the same as the one present. This is why the corruption mini-game has been completely removed for now (to be seen if I move it to the casino later, modifying it to add a NSFW side to this mini-game).

✨ Reworked Psychic Power system - now Orb-based

The old meditation system has been replaced by an orb system that resets each sleep. When you go to corrupt a character, it spends 1 orb, and you can only corrupt the same character once per in-game day. This prevents speedrunning a character in a single day and avoids story inconsistencies. The old mini-game has been moved to the casino, simplified, and now lets you earn money. Cards are visible for 3 to 5 seconds at the start before flipping.

🎮 Simplified mini-games + new option to disable them

Other types of mini-games (the Arena work one, drug selling, etc.) have been slowed down and simplified. And for those who really do not want any mini-games, there is now a toggle in the Gameplay settings to disable them entirely.

⚙️ Two new options added

• 🔤 Font size selector: Small, Normal (default), Large, X-Large. Still being tested, so if you notice a place where the size does not apply, please report it on Discord.
• 🖥️ Window mode (exe version only): Fullscreen (default), Windowed, Maximized.

🔧 Various fixes and improvements

The tutorial phase at the start of a game has been extended and improved to give the player as much information as possible. Text corrections, in-game price corrections, and more.

🔮 What's next?

I continue to look for bugs and make changes suggested by the community. A few things are still left to finalize, and the new version should be available shortly, first for paying members, then one week later for the public.

I also want to thank the paying members, whether purely for access to the cheat, or to support the project. Thank you anyway.

For the distant future, I plan to redo the text for the currently available characters. Having made major changes to how the game works, the character text is no longer really in the same direction I originally had in mind. It will take time, and these text changes will not be present in the next version, but perhaps the one after.

Sorry again for the issues at the start of the release, and thank you to those who provided feedback, ideas, and bug reports. I still want to finish this game regardless, before starting to project myself onto other game ideas.
