Hey there! Thanks so much for your support! Here's the nightly for today. Let me know what you think! Again, by no means is the combat system finished, but I hope that this scratches the itch to see what's going on~

A reminder that P is to pass turn, WASD to move between rooms, and the player gets two turns for every monster turn to make checking things out easier. The monsters spend their first turn looking for a room they'd like to go to and their second turn actually going there. That means that it'll take four player turns for the monsters to start moving!

New Nightly


Well hello there! Look at me, all getting a second nightly out this week. Hopefully more next week as well! This comes with a slew of bug fixes and some aesthetic changes as well. Here's the change log!

Nightly 2025-01-31
  • Fixed a bug where context menus would not close after another one was opened
  • Fixed a bug where monsters could move further than their max distance during player_move action
  • Fixed a bug where AI units were unable to move after selecting a target square with another unit on it (They will now move adjacent like they should)
  • Fixed a bug where the movement distance overlay would sometimes show on the incorrect tile
  • Optimized the path trimming operation that reduces a unit's movement to be substantially quicker
  • QOL: Clicking on a tile will now move you as close to it as possible. Now, R-Click to cancel an action that requires additional input
  • Set up RCEdit to add metadata
  • Added custom icon to program
  • Added custom loading splash

Link is here! System changes are underway (more on that tomorrow) to add custom maps to each room as well. It's nothing externally visible at the moment though. See you all then!

Hey! Thanks so much for supporting so much! I'm super grateful. Nightly releases are slated for hopefully after I get my move finished, but in the meantime I'll drop little tidbits and things like this!

I'm still gradually piecing together these files, so expect duplicates, errors, and some things that don't make sense. There's a lot that's still missing, but all in all, I hope it's an interesting peek forward at how things are going to come together.
