Ghost of Dog recordings are underway!

I think I've got to a point in Reaper where I'm recording and editing about as fast as I was able to do in Descript.

Ongoing Process Notes: As frustrating as it was to experience at the time, I have been able to confirm that the Reaper plugins I was recommended can indeed filter out the noise of passing motorcycles outside. So that's good!

Have gotten far enough with Reaper that I managed to record, edit, and export a whole episode. It's more complicated than I was used to, but hopefully some of the fiddly settings will have been saved and I won't need to look them up again.

Recording can resume.

And Reaper is fully on my own machine, so if they ever start pulling AI-shit I can just stop updating the program.

Still working on audio programs. Thusfar I like Reaper much better than Audacity, much simpler to use, much more direct, much less counter-intuitive. If all goes well I should be able to start recording again in earnest by this time next week.

Voice of Dog update: I'm not happy with what I've seen thusfar of audible, though I think I could use it if I had to. So this coming week I'm gonna instead investigate a program I was recommended called Reaper, in the hopes that it's UI is more like Descript's was.
