Hello everyone! We're still alive and rolling! It's been a while, but things are still progressing on the production end of Promises.
As you might have noticed the "Weekly" is no longer in the work log title as the rate of production has drastically changed over the course of the past month. In the previous worklog it was mentioned of a new course of action being performed to increase production speed, but I've decided to change gears as the reality of life is making the planned system impossible to go through with.
HOWEVER, even though we're not moving as fast as we'd hope for production is still in progress. The first scene aside from image and dialogue adjustments on my end is near completion. To keep production flowing and to make the entire process smoother for the dev team storyline planning and adjustment is also a big priority (as mentioned in the announcement in the last post and on discord). To compensate for the recent gap in our work logs I'm going to continue with the pausing of patron/subscriber billing for a second month until things clear/speed up on the production end. Whenever progress is made, we'll continue to keep you updated.
Anyway, as always, we hope everyone is having a great week and continues to stay safe!
Yo! What's up everyone?! It's time for this week's work log and progression update.
This past week we were able to squeeze in some reworking of most of the episode 6 intro scene after I decided the quality wasn't to my liking (going to send over for edits tonight) and focused mainly on the script for scene 1. There aren't enough renders for the first scene worthy of preview at the moment, but rest assured we've made a dent in progress :D
This week coming in we're looking to have the images for scene 1 finished (assuming my new work schedule treats me better than this past week) and hopefully get started on the script for the second scene.

Promises S1 Ep 6 v0.25a Weekly Worklog #1 + Minor Announcements
Hello everyone!
We're back! But don't worry, we've been keeping the gears rolling over our break! We're very happy with the feedback and launch of Promises Episode 5 and can't thank everyone enough for making such a successful update possible!
Over the course of our break, we've worked out the episode 6 rubric and after some meshing and adjusting it's going to be a confirmed 10 scenes (11 counting the intro flashback). This update the team is going to focus on a soft weekly release schedule that will hopefully keep weekly production of the episode a little more organized and give us a more set goal amongst the group to produce episodes slightly faster.
The intro scene for episode 6 is complete (aside from a few renders that need to be reworked) both in renders and script. Music for the intro scene is this week's main priority as well as starting and finishing the first scene for the main story line.
Side Announcement:
[Tiimx] A few may know that for a little over a year now, I've been balancing producing Promises as well as working a full-time job outside of AVN development. Originally, I'd work long overnight shifts, so I'd have to balance game production in the day hours either before or after getting some rest from work (assuming no other life obstacles ever got in the way). But I'm very happy to announce that after over a year of hard work I've received a promotion for a supervisor role for the daytime! This means I can now work on Promises and other studio content in the night hours with less distractions and reserve my personal life for the day. I will admit that this is new territory for me, so hopefully the new development rubric I've put together for me and the team will help make this new flip in hours a LOT easier for game production. I'll continue to tweak the pacing and order of how I get certain parts of the scenes done (whether it be images, script dialogue, etc.) over the course of this week to help me comfortably put together a personal system that will benefit me and the team as a whole. I'd like to thank everyone for bearing with me over the course of the past year and I'm super excited for the next episode release, I think you'll love it!

Promises S1 Ep5 v0.21 Beta Release Hello everyone! And we're excited to announce the beta release for Promises Episode 5 is available now for all subscribers, discord server boosters, and detectives! You can download the game on the studio's discord server (link below). Early access is also available to everyone on the game's itch.io site (also below) for a small fee. We're super excited and hope you all enjoy! Below is a full changelog for this update!
First off, I'd like to apologize for the absence of last week's worklog and the late posting for this week. A lot of work has been going on while we've been away but we're here with some great news!
As of now the script and images/animations are finished for episode 5! We still have some work to do with audio for the final scene but that's planned to be finished by the end of today.
So what's up for this upcoming week? Edits. All this week the dev team will focus their time on making sure the game is ready for BETA and public release by testing and making edits to this current update. Depending on the speed of production this shouldn't take long at all and we're sure you can expect a BETA release really soon!

This past week we finished all images for scenes 5 and 6 and are deep into scene 7 and should have the images for it done in a days' time. We also took a look at more in game settings and Gui to make certain on-screen features such as menu choices and quick menu buttons stick out more. We're looking to add a new design to the overall Gui but that's for this upcoming week.
Speaking of which, we're going to take another big bite this week coming in to speed up progression. Upon finishing scene 7 we're looking to have both scene 8 and 9 also finished before our next worklog only leaving scene 10 left to complete. After we finish the 9th scene, we'll get to work on catching up with the audio and start setting things up for edits, but that's later down the road. We're glad to be getting closer to episode completion, and can't wait to show you another great update for season 1.
