Ok so I'm planning on doing a pretty big update to how I price my commissions, long story short I am cutting out my sketch options since my "sketches" are pretty much the same quality as line art and I feel like I've been under paying myself for some time because of it (so basically I'm jumping from a 30$ full body to a 40$ full body, maybe might even up it a little bit more, we'll see)

BUT my problem is if I cut off my sketch options I no longer really have a cheaper option for people who maybe can't afford a full priced commission. I do offer base colouring as my cheapest option for only 10$ (people come to me with either a P2U or F2U base of a character and I colour it for them) but I very rarely have someone actually use that option. So I've been trying to think up of what I could possibly offer for someone with a lower budget and I think I've come up with 2 possibilities

Option 1) I draw the character but I just don't colour them and leave it black and white, this option probably makes the most sense to do as its the easiest, my hesitation with it tho is that colouring is one of my fav parts of drawing, and I just know its gonna drive me absolutely insane coo coo crazy bananas bonkers if I end up drawing something I'm really proud of but being unable to colour it cuz the customer didn't pay for it 😭
EDIT: Another important thing I forgot to mention about why I'm not a huge fan of this option, its that some people (scum bags) have been known to take peoples line art and throw it into a clanker to colour it for them, which obviously I don't want happening and is a major reason why I'm turned off for offering this to people

Option 2) Creative freedom commissions, where the customer basically gives me the character they want drawn and I have full creative control over what I want to draw and the customer basically gets what ever I give them (obviously what ever I draw will still match the quality of what they payed for). For me the artist this is option is much more appealing, and I've seen other artists open up this sort of option as well, but I can also see this being more unpopular than option 1 with customers cuz even tho they're saving money they're losing any control they have over the art they receive

So what do y'all think? Which option is better? Or do they both suck? Is there something else I could offer that I'm not thinking of? I would love to hear a little feed back 🙏 Also link to my current comm site below if you wanna get an idea at what I've been doing so far

I just genuinely don't know what to say anymore. I seeked refuge here as I ran from Patreon because of their over bearing and puritanical rules on fictional NSFW art pushed me out of their space. I was upset I'd be starting over, but I had little other option as my work risked deletion elsewhere. Its been little over a year now since I joined Subscribe Star and I am absolutely horrified and disgusted to find not just the same fascist censorship following me here, but it being even more cut throat and mask off over which people and communities these monsters setting the rules fucking hate and despise the most. So where else am I to go? Bootsy? Pixiv? Private paywalled Discord server? I don't know, not that it matters anyways, as the fleeing from censorship by people who want to see you dead so they can make a profit will always be relentlessly chasing and hunting us down to extinction. So I will not move. I will not delete my gallery and erase any trace that a queer, kinky, furry degenerate like me was ever here. If they want me gone, they can look me in the eyes down the barrel as they pull the trigger themselves. Once I'm dead and decaying I will then, and only then, move on elsewhere.

I'm currently working on thinking up plans for stuff that I can upload here exclusively such as speed paints, the biggest hurdle seems to be file size as it seems I can't upload anything longer than 4-5 minutes, so that means if I were to post speed paints I'd either have to upload them in 2 or parts, or upload the whole thing in a really low quality to save on file size, which idk if it'd even be worth it at that point, but I'm still trying to look into more options so I'll let y'all know when/if I find a solution

I'm 24, gender queer and use any pronouns (tho he/him I prefer with strangers) My main fandoms are Furry, Pokémon, MLP, Hellaverse, Scenemo, Oilers, and many others. I'd say I draw about 50/50 when it comes to fan art vs original stuff with oc's. I'd say my art style is kinda cartoony with a dash of anime splashed in, but I LOVE early 2000s furry/anime art and it is my absolute goal to get my art to look that way some day ^w^

I joined Subscribe Star because I'm sick and tired of dealing with Patreons fascist anti porn censorship, I don't even draw that "weird" of stuff when it comes to NSFW, but considering Patreon considers anything that isn't 2 characters having sex smiling with a big thumbs up saying "I consent" rape, I don't exactly feel welcome there anymore. I'm very new here, I've never used this site before today so plz give me a bit of time to figure things out, once I do I'll start the slow process of moving over some of my Patreon exclusive content over here! Unfortunately I won't be able to move everything, as my Patreon has years of content archived on it, but I'll do my best, especially when it comes to moving my NSFW stuff.
