Yay! I got the 'driver learning' game working! Woohoo! This was alot of trouble for me to make it work like I wanted!

This past week has been more of the same - working on Charisma and Jobs while trying to make new characters. Honestly it's been tough to work as real life keeps interrupting my solitude as a solo indie dev. I DID manage to create Daisy. I am hoping we get to go to a Renfaire on our date. I keep hearing old tymey music running thru my head when I work on her. Then again, maybe I've had another stroke and am hallucinating, lol.

I am SO happy with the progress I have made this week! I instituted the 'Charisma' mechanic, well... at least the beginning of it. I got the counters working correctly (so far) and attached is my first test when the player does not heed the 'x amount of charisma needed' message for certain dates. Dates cost $1,000 to go on (they are all over the USA) so the player will lose money depending on their choices.

I also started putting daily jobs for the player to do to earn monies. On a whim I put in a casino where guys can win or lose $$. Lady Luck, she can be an evil mistress tho.

For the first time this week I am able to progress through the days without having my stack of call statements! LOL It has been a huge week in programming!
