Hey guys, here’s a proper update — and yeah, it’s bad news. I know we’re late again, and I’m really sorry about that.

The reason is pretty messed up. I ended up in the hospital. I can’t share every tiny detail, but here’s what happened.

A drunk idiot was being extremely persistent, acting like a complete jerk, and trying to seduce my girl. What started as a verbal argument escalated into a physical confrontation. I lost my temper and beat his ass. Honestly, with smarter and more honorable people, that would’ve been the end of it.

But no — his fragile ego couldn’t handle that.

Instead of walking away, he decided to get revenge. He and a couple of his buddies tracked me down. I guess the goal was to scare me or humiliate me. Unfortunately for all of us, I also have a crazy head, so I didn’t back down. I ended up fighting four guys at once.

This time, I lost — not without dealing some serious damage first — but still, I went down.

My girl insisted I go to the hospital to get my head and injuries checked. I did, and they kept me there for observation for two days. Once I was cleared, I went home… only to have a cop show up the very next day. He interviewed me, everything seemed fine, and I thought that was it.

Two days later, I was arrested.

I was held for two days, gave another statement — this time to a judge — and now I officially have a case against me. What a beautifully fucked-up way to start the year, right?

Naturally, this put me in a really bad mental space for a while. I was spiraling over what might happen next. I was planning to apply for a US visa, and this will probably damage those plans. On top of that, my financial situation changed — we now have to find a new place to live. That was already a pending issue, but rent prices in my city are insane right now thanks to immigration and the overall market. Finding something affordable is no joke anymore.

So yeah — I was in a bad place. Honestly, I still am.

But fuck it. Life throws punches, and you either stay down or get back up. I’m choosing to get back up, deal with the challenges, and take the fights life throws at me head-on.

That’s the situation.

We want to be completely honest with you. Right now, we have 94 paying supporters, which brings in around $700. After transfer fees and taxes, we’re left with under $500 to keep building this game. We absolutely love working on it, but at the moment these numbers make it really hard for us to keep things sustainable.

We’re really sorry, but we’ve decided to discontinue the free subscription tier — it ended up hurting the project more than helping it.

We will also be adjusting and raising some subscription tiers to reflect the true cost of development and to help keep the project alive.
