So I've been focusing on MHF this past week and I "got a lot done." The reason I'm putting that in quotations is because while I'm just over half way for where I want it to be for it's first release the current scenes I'm rendering out are taking on average 2 hours and 15 mins to render in order to get it to a point where it's usable, then I run it through a denoiser and boom you get a useable render. This is due to the amount of characters on screen and it all boils down once again to my PC. Which is why I choose not to have too many characters in any 1 scene, Yacht Girls was an exception because I wanted to see all of Brooke's friends have debaucherous fun lol
With that said, I'm almost done with the current scene type renders, just a couple more scenes to make and render out and it's back to normal scenes. This release propels the story forward in many ways, you'll get to view just how accepting of Brenden the girls are, and how Jacob's choice to have little to no communication with his family for the month he was gone just so he can have distance and enjoy himself will have adverse affects. This update will not end pretty and will be the catalyst for the player to see exactly how in one month 1 man can change everything.
SIDE NOTE: MHF's very first release was only 120 renders, this update is already past that with 200 under the belt. Of course the hand me down PC and GPU upgrade helped a lot. Before I had to be really carful on how I wrote the scenes because I didn't want to overload and make the scene impossible to render. You can actually see the huge quality difference between then and now. This render took a little over 2 hours because of the number of people on screen.

Also, I'm having a lot of trouble with the "Raffle" tier. SS isn't giving me an easy option to follow and log those who have subbed to it, so I'll be taking that tier away. For those of you who have subbed Raffle, please contact me so I can confirm your sub to that tier, you will be getting 1 free month of unlimited access as an apology. Also, please unsub from Raffle so I am able to take it down. I'm not able to remove a tier if there are still people subed to it.
I'm still stuck in the states. With most flights either overbooked or cancelled altogether, I'm not going anywhere which means my family had ample reason to convince me to stay till the new years. So, I'm going to try to make the best of it.
No updates with Family Funday and My Happy Family as those are on my Main PC at home.

Prim and Friends
You all know Prim, but have you met her close friends? Meet Aubry (Au-Brie) and Kyla. Prim's closest friends. You can find them always hanging out at school because that is the only place where they have the time of day for each other. Other than the occasional sleepovers the 3 of them live very separate and busy lives. Prim like to keep to herself and focus on her keeping her body toned and lean, she's not a body builder, no far from it. Prim just does her best to keep herself in shape and looking desirable because you never know when she'll get the chance to happily turn down a man who hits on her. Prim, Aubry, & Kyla Chalamet (Not gonna lie, probably my favorite characters to write into the My Happy Family game verse)
Kyla Chalamet(Shall-ah-may.) Both Prim & Jacob's oldest friend. Kyla grew up with the twins, "Best Friends Till The End" they would always say. But that was back when life was simple, families weren't broken and siblings weren't annoyed with each other. Growing up with the twins, Kyla always had a bold sense of adventure, always wanting to trek through the forest or boulder at the beach, Kyla was always looking for that next big adventure. So when her childhood friends started to drift apart, no thanks to their parents 'divorce" Kyla was stuck between satisfying herself and choosing between her two friends. Pretty soon, there were no more adventures, there was only doing her best to keep her two oldest and closest friends.
Prim could not be in the same room as Jacob without getting into an argument and Jacob could not think about Prim without having something rude to say about her. It was a living nightmare. Eventually things started to settle down and what was once active hatred became passive annoyance. The three of them never hung out in a group anymore, but Kyla still had her best friends, Prim on her left, Jacob on her right.
One day, two months ago Kyla was hanging out with Jacob when all of a sudden he popped the question "Kyla, I love you. Will you go out with me?" The whole world seemed to stop, her heart rushed and her stomach did a summersault before trying to leap out of her mouth. The answer was quite obvious, they had been friends since before preschool and they had been there for each other through the thick and thin. "Yes, finally a new adventure" was the only thing that came to mind.
Fast forward to the opening events of My Happy Family. Kyla had just left on a trip with her parents to an Exotic Location. FINALLY! This was the adventure she wanted for so long! Years of dull everyday routine. School, Eat, Friends, Shit, Sleep, Repeat! Nothing was truly fun for her anymore. The two girlfriends she had at school were too busy with their own lives outside of school that they never really hung out anymore. Everybody else at school was either boring, or annoying, or stuck up, or all three. Jacob, god bless his soul, was no different from before they started dating. Kyla had thought that if they started dating they would start going on adventures together. The adventure of going out to random date spots, the adventure of the couples "emotional rollercoaster," or even adventures of the body and mind. NOPE! Nothing has changed, Jacob being the far too kindhearted and timid boy he's always been hasn't made one single move on her or with her since he confessed to her two months back.
NOW THOUGH! She gets to go on an adventure with her parents in a place she'd never been before, meet strangers she'll never meet again and eat local delicacies that she'll probably never find anywhere else! This was the adventure she was looking for! WOOT WOOT. . .

Personal update!
Everything is back on track, now I'm just playing catch up! I've got some Tier Based renders to pump out which will be done in the course of the next few weeks and should be released with every Weekly Wednesday or on Mondays
I ran into some rendering issues this week, DAZ Studio kept giving me a "Fatal Error." I figured out it what it was and it just means that there won't be a cat in some scenes when I wrote some comedic release/tension brought forth by the cat. With that said...
My Happy Family Update
Everything is going smoothly! Actually really smoothly which is crazy. Before I'd wake up wondering if the renders have completed, now all I have to worry about is if they rendered out properly or with any rendering discrepancies that weren't visible during previews. I've actually had to go back and redo most of the renders already done for this update because of the render quality. With this new GPU everything looks a lot better, the lighting isn't as sloppy as it used to be so I don't really have to do much in post editing.
So to match the new renders I'm currently slowly working my way through the scenes for the new update and editing them to match the new lighting. If you look at this weeks Chapter 1 full update preview you'll notice the little details on both Lauralie and Prim, such as their freckles. This wasn't visible with the last GPU but now it is.
I'm on track for the first week/second week of the new year! Woot Woot! Time for some painfully slow previews :P
Maybe needs a slight colour/tone adjustment but other than that, this is without post-editing or denoiser at 5000 iterations finished in 15mins!

Brooke Makes new friends across the multiverse!
So! One of the things that I'm now able to do is render out some... fantasy characters that my old GPU wasn't able to. For some reason, depending on the texture type, or whether it was Iray or not, I was not able to completely render out certain characters. This happened with the Original version of Kyla as well which forced me to revise her textures/model.
Now I can render out stuff like this without takin up any time. This scene only took 3 mins to render. Brooke looks so out of place hahaha
anyway, Once I'm able to get my hands on a male Model with tetures that match their cartoony textures you can expect some random pin ups in the future! If you happen to know a model that'll fit perfectly with them, feel free to DM me!
