0.0.12 RC is Live for Snorkelers

And with this post 0.0.12 RC is live for Snorkelers and up!

No direct story progression this time. Instead we have an AWESOME new scene that is accessible before you head to the Boiled Crab the second time. (It is an optional scene so the game won't point you there!) Like I said in the discord, art-wise this one was a doozy. A total of 21 variations this time.
Additionally, we have a small map for you to test out the combat system. Access it within the gallery map by talking to the guard looking dude. It is all placeholder assets so there really isn't anything to look at but you can mess around with "brave" and "default" stuff as well as enemy tracking. Next up we'll be adding an elemental RPS system that'll be tied into the game's lore.
Unfortunately, we also decided last minute to push back Cassandra's implementation until the next release. We want her to go live alongside the new Inn map which will be in the next release as well.
Oh yeah, and you've probably noticed those non-tracking stats in the pull-up menu at some point. Well those will track now and aren't camelCase. Horny tracking will probably be implemented in March. I'm thinking of having a toggleable gauge that'll show as part of the UI.
Anyways, stay tuned around Sunday for the next DEVlog. I'm thinking we'll talk about writing, release schedule and sound this time. We REALLY need to do a sound pass and get them squelches into the game!

  • Reduced Message Window to three rows.
  • Reduced the volume of a few map change SFX's.

  • Changed an argument that may improve default performance on laptops with a dGPU.
Bugfixes
  • Fixed dialogue when attempting to leave the onsen correctly reflects the stage of the MSQ.
  • Fixed a few weird BGM's playing at awkward times.
