Hello hello, Rem here with another short Progress Report.
There really isn't much to report for this week sadly. I'm just going to write this week as an off week. The major thing I did was finally deciding on the conditions for how to trigger the sex scenes. It was always going to be through a Carrot and Stick some way or another, but the question was how. One of the ideas was to do it with the Praise and Reprimand skills, where if you had the Praise skill, a Carrot that improves on Praise and also allows one of the sex scenes to trigger after battle. And if you have the Reprimand skill, there would be a Stick that makes Reprimand worse and also allows the other sex scene to trigger.
The idea was some sort of way to go, alright, if I want scene #1, I should take the Praise skill. But the whole thing didn't sit well with me. First, there's the RNG involved in the Praise skill being up for grabs. Second, you would actually take it over the other options that might be better at the time. Third, there's the RNG involved in the Carrot showing up as one of the options.
Finally after all that, you would be able to advance to the sex scene. But, it just felt so, eeeehhhh... not well thought out. So I sat on it for a while.
Until this week when it was finally time to add the Edicts into the game, and during the process I rebalanced them a bit and I also came up with a better idea. I say better idea but it's the same idea as Stripper and Trainer where you need to take an Edict for the sex scene to be unlocked. In this case, once you take the Edict, there's a specific Carrot and Stick that is guaranteed to be available during the Level 3 Results Phase. This completely gets rid of the RNG, and fits thematically. After taking the specific Carrot and Stick, if you complete the rest of the battle successfully, you get a certain sex scene. If you fail to complete the battle, you get the other sex scene.
So that felt good to finally get off my chest. It was like there was a gaping hole in my brain and the whole side job feels incomplete without solving the sex question.
Map work finally starts next week, I got no excuses anymore, it has to be the next thing to be worked on and completed. Gulp. That's it for this week, stay safe, stay hydrated, watch out for the chill, and I'll talk to you all next week!

Hey Rem, after reading your previous progress reports for awhile I always assumed that the teacher toilet/defeat scene would trigger when you failed classroom objective and it did make sense to me since this was like the risk vs reward moment for going for high classroom lvl clear. So after reading this week's progress report I'm now a bit confused if there's any risk if the sex scenes can be avoided by not selecting that specific carrot and stick effect. I'm not saying that there shouldn't be a way to guarantee the scenes triggers but I do hope there are additional way(s) to trigger them as well. At least failing the sidejob at a high class lvl even without that carrot n stick should really always trigger the toilet scene.
