New year, new plans!

Hi everybody,
Following my work on Glassix and Lust Complex, I've been thinking a bit more about what kind of adult games I wanted to bring you. I think one aspect which draws players to my games is the gameplay itself which differs a lot from most other adult games out there, offering some sandbox type gameplay letting the player go at his own pace. The other aspect is the mind control which often lacks proper management in other games. I've always wanted to make my games more interesting than just simply reading a story filled with H events. Adding different features which interacts well with each other is part of what makes a game a good game in my opinion.
With this idea in mind and my current understanding of Unity and Daz3D, which I'm planning to keep using for my future games now, I've organized my thoughts and goals and I'm now writing all this here so you have a better understanding of what you can expect when supporting me and my games.
Since I'm planning to reuse those explanations for my main campaign page, I've split the information in several posts for easy referencing and this post will simply serve as a central post to properly order them.
Firstly, I'll be updating my main campaign page, campaign rewards and campaign goals to reflect all the information I'm bringing you today.
I had several bad experiences working with other people, not only with 2D artists, but now that I'm using 3D, it might be much easier to handle since 3D animations and models don't have that much differences in style compared to two 2D artists. With that in mind, I'm changing my campaign goal to gather more money in order to hire 3D animators and modelers to help me improve my games with custom outfits or more professional animations.
I'm also properly separating my current and future games into free games and paywall games as well as split them into Completed, Ongoing and Future categories. Future games development is set in stone and it's only a matter of patrons votes to decide which one will be completed first. But I'll complete all of them for sure. As to why not make all my games free, it's for the usual reasons: more money, more exposure, greed, not relying only on crowdfunding income and so on... If I make them free, I won't be able to sell them on third party shops and I would like to have more exposure and money. I hope you'll understand and forgive such greed.
Secondly, I'm introducing two key tools which will allow me and creators to easily create content for my future games. They are the "World generators" and "Story teller". More about them on the linked post.
Thirdly, I'm officially announcing my future games projects after I complete Lust Complex. Namely, "Glassix 2 - Virtual Cities", sequel of Glassix, "Vampire Revenge - Rebirth", sequel of Vampire Revenge and "Lust City" NOT a sequel of Lust Complex this time ahah but a new game of his own :p In which order I'll work on those will depend on future polls once Lust Complex is completed, with its expected completion date to be around 2nd quarter of 2021.
I'm aware it might be a bit early to announce so many games considering the amount of work it represents, but I've decided to go with it for 2 reasons:
  • My long term goals are now clear and patrons know better what to expect. This is really important with the introduction of the annual pledge system Patreon has implemented last summer. Having long term support relieves a lot of pressure on creators since income is guaranteed and in exchange annual patrons get 15% discount which is about 2 months free for their trust  ;) Unfortunately, Subscribestar does not have any annual membership feature.
  • I wanted to make the goals clear for myself too. I love making games and I have tons of ideas. Having those ideas properly introduced with a rough timeline seal a kind of agreement between me, myself and my patrons which I'll be more motivated to uphold. Not that I was not motivated before but it just make it clearer ;)
Finally, regarding this month game releases, Glassix will be released today but Lust Complex will be delayed to next month.
I've had some feedback from players saying the game loads super slowly and this is mainly because being new to 3D, I didn't take enough time to optimize the game and loaded all assets at once, even those not needed. I've been reworking the game core to load assets on the fly but going further, I'm optimizing scenes so that skipping a day or week does not reload the whole scene but simply update the existing one as well as merging the sex training scene with the apartment scene to completely remove the scene switching load time. This means all 9 apartments will now be loaded directly in one scene but since furniture will now be loaded on the fly everything should run faster. Plus, I'll be able to display tenants right on the apartment screen with random daily life activities to improve immersion. I'm also scrapping the current tutorial, removing the basic story and simply focusing the new tutorial on giving necessary information when they are needed and wanted. I've also been working with a new weather asset I've purchased which I find pretty cool and which simulates the weather and seasons. It might feel a bit too much for Lust Complex but since my future games will have lots of time, weather and seasons mechanisms, I decided to practice with Lust Complex first. The result is quite nice but need a little more work to be presentable. I'll keep you posted about that asap.
That's about all for now. Took me a few days to prepare all this so I hope it won't bore you too much ;)
Thanks again for your time, patience and support. I hope my plans will fit your expectations!
Happy New Year once again ;)
