Futa Quest development news#78

We hope everyone enjoyed yesterday's test scene!
It's quite extensive and complex. We intentionally priced it much lower than the price listed for scenes of this type so that more people could enjoy it.
Now, as for the development process and why we dragged things out so much.
First and foremost, like many enthusiastic yet short-sighted developers, we became hostages to our own excessive ambitions. We need to do more, push ourselves further, and once again surprise the people who support us. Even though we’re not as young as we used to be, we still fall into this trap that seems so simple at first glance.
We hope that by the time version 2.35 is released, we will have learned our lessons and become better.
Unfortunately, the state of the world weighs heavily on us as creative people, and there’s nothing we can do to influence it. At times, development is really slowed down by the overwhelming feeling that tomorrow you won’t be able to visit the website you’ve put so much effort into and share news with people.
And, of course, there are personal circumstances involving the coder. There have been news reports on this topic, so I don't think we need to go over it again.
Overall, we’ve finished about 85% of the game’s visual elements, as well as 60–65% of the text and programming. This version is significantly larger than our previous releases, and we’re currently at a crossroads. Should we release what's ready as soon as possible, even if it means releasing content without text and without balancing? Or should we finish it properly, even if it takes longer?
I think it's better to risk criticism than to release everything as is, like a Frankenstein monster. We can only hope that our true supporters will back this decision. We have years of experience successfully completing projects on schedule and delivering on our promises. Of course, given the current circumstances, we can’t boast about that, but we hope we still deserve your trust.
That’s all for now. Thank you for your attention.
