The Weight of Scales (Ch.1): Unfamiliar Territory (Pages 10-15)
Iris suggested Drake see a doctor as soon as possible. She supported him over her shoulder as they began to walk out of the woods and through the thorny bushes.
As they walked, Iris finally found her keys! She was frustrated at the irony of how the keys suddenly appeared, but brushed it off quickly so her and Drake could get out of the rain.
Iris inquired what Drake had been up to out in the woods. He tried to recall the events before she found him. As he spoke, Iris became wary of Drake's mental stability.
The walking and talking started to make Drake feel ill. He tried to warn Iris, but she was lost in thought. Drake had to quickly pull away from her to retch on the grass. His sudden movement reminded Iris of the urgency of the situation.
After Drake was done coughing and such on the ground, Iris helped him back to his feet and the two trudged along until they reached a parking lot. Only Iris' car was present.
Iris heled Drake get into the vehicle. She strapped him in and wrapped her picnic blanket around him (even though it was very damp by now). Drake assumed the car was a weird looking enchanted carriage.
With Drake secured in the back seat, Iris hopped into the drivers seat and turned on the car.
Drake's startled reaction to the engine made Iris cringe.
