Hello everyone! Welcome to the first devlog of the 0.1.5.9 update.

Alarm system

Yes! You thought i was finished with stealth gameplay huh? Ha! I'm actually working on making more stealth mechanics and will be working on the detective mechanics soon after that as well.

This update will introduce a long awaited feature of mine which is the alarm system. The alarm system basically is a way to "lockdown" the area and make assigned NPCs like guards to search for the intruder or escaped captive.
The guards can trigger the alarm using red buttons located on wall of each floor of the warehouse. They will trigger the alarm if the captive (your character in this case) manages to escape their grab or when they realize that the captive they restrained and left in a room are not there anymore.

Check the video down below if you want to see the first draft of that in action. :)

What is planned for the 0.1.5.9

For the next update, i would like to get doors into the game and make them lockable by the player but also the NPCs. This means having the AI handle doors but also acknowledge the fact that they are locked inside a room which is going to be something definitely challenging to do with all of the possible scenarios.

That's not all, i heard that the game was getting too easy, which is normal at the moment since i don't want to work on balancing too much as i'm finishing the base systems and core stealth gameplay. I'm going to make the guards reactions and the grabbing harder.

That's all for this week!
