DevLog 12 – New Cards, Abilities, Opponents… and Magic!
Hello everyone,
The past few weeks have been incredibly busy. As I mentioned before, Chapters 4 and 5 are deeply connected — mainly due to the introduction of magic — which means a lot of the content is being developed for both chapters simultaneously.
✨ Magic
Magic finally makes its appearance in Chapter 4, and in Chapter 5, you’ll be able to wield it yourself! This major addition brings brand-new mechanics, strategies, and visual effects to the battlefield.
🛡️ Champions
Starting in Chapter 4, you’ll be able to expand your champion pool! If you’ve played the recent updates, you already know that each champion now grants a unique bonus during battle. Matching your champion to your playstyle will open up exciting new tactical options.
🧙♂️ Opponents
You’ll face three new opponents in Chapter 4 — all wielding magic, each from a different school. Even more enemies (and surprises) are planned for Chapter 5.
📖 Codex
As previously announced, a Codex is being added to the game. It will let you browse all the cards you've encountered, complete with detailed stats and effects. Perfect for fine-tuning your deck strategies!
🃏 Cards
And now the big one: We’re doubling the number of cards in the game! These new cards introduce a variety of fresh mechanics that should bring even more depth and fun to the gameplay. This post's picture is a sneak peek at some of them. A dedicated DevLog will follow soon, diving deeper into these new abilities.
