October's Newsletter
Hello, everyone!
The spooky month of the year is here!
This is quite the long newsletter.
Before we delve into it, allow me to show you all a beautiful piece of art made by the skilled @PCel011, commissioned by fellow degenerate UnendingBrownie in homage of everyone's favorite series: The Black King Piece.
Rias sure looks like she's having a good time. Who knows about Issei, though?
Now, allow me to summarize September's smut with high-quality memes.
Probably avoid them if you don't want spoilers of the smut that came out in September.
I also included Stacy's Got The Wheel in the memes even though it came out in October. Sue me.
A Summary Of September's Smut In Meme Format
Truly the peak of memery.
Fandom Sentiment Poll Results
We had a fandom sentiment poll at the end of September. It is still ongoing (there is no end date for it), but I think there are already clear results. These are the main rankings as of the moment I wrote this newsletter.
Let us see which are the most popular fandoms!
The first 4 are SURE to surprise you!
1: RWBY (73 votes)
I am aghast, baffled by this twist of fate.
It is no surprise that RWBY is number 1, considering the number of RWBY stories I've written. Also, RWBY has won, like, 3 Prompt Polls. In fact, we have an ongoing RWBY series right now (Hollow Strength) and recently wrapped up another one (Like A Lamb To The Sexual Slaughter).
I am sure we will see plenty more RWBY in the future.
2: Naruto (72 votes)
What a surprise. Did you know Naruto is popular around these parts? I, too, am aghast.
All joking aside, I've written many Naruto commissions, some of which are among my most popular stories.
That said, Naruto has never won a Prompt Poll. That IS curious. Moreover, I don't think I've ever written a Sakura-focused NTR story. That is ALSO surprising.
I have no doubt that it is only a matter of time.
3: Fate Series (62 votes)
I have never written a Fate story. In fact, I'd likely refuse a Fate commission because I know so little about it. Yet, I know that Fate is unbelievably popular in smut circles.
What you might not know is that I am filthy VN supremacist. If there is a Visual Novel of a franchise, I must play it instead of watching the anime or reading the manga.
...I'm too lazy to play the Fate VNs, though.
Wait, I literally just found out that there is a remaster of Fate/Stay Night in Steam. Maybe it is a sign from God.
4: Harry Potter (61 votes)
I did not expect to see Harry Potter this high up, even though I know it is CRAZY popular in fanfic circles. It surprised me that I have never been commissioned to write a Harry Potter story, to be honest.
I did watch all the movies and read all the books way back in the day. I'm sure I will end up writing a family-friendly NTR story eventually, and accrue a whole slate of positive, kind, thankful comments for my contribution to the world.
Alright, so these are the top 4... But who cares about them?!
We all knew more-or-less which fandoms would be at the top.
Instead, let's see a few more!
5: Mass Effect (47 votes)
Mass Effect is my favorite gaming franchise of all time. I probably replay the trilogy every year with a trillion bajillion mods shoved down the throat of my game.
It does surprise me to see it so far up when I've only ever written one commission series for it.
Maybe we should have a Mass Effect Poll someday.
6: My Hero Academia (44 votes)
I actually expected MHA to be higher up. I have written tons of MHA commissions, and we even had an MHA Prompt Poll Winner in the past (Not All Rabbits Are Herbivores).
In fact, I believe my first commission ever was an MHA story.
Good, old Bakugo x Uraraka NTR. A staple of a healthy society.
7: DC (in general) (42 votes)
DC has plenty of hot women. The ones I care about the most are Harley Quinn, Power Girl, and Wonder Woman.
Probably.
I'm not actually a big comics reader. However, I do consume a lot of games, TV shows, and just general youtube stuff, so I pick the comics stuff by osmosis.
Also 7: High School DxD (42 votes)
Okay, this is bullshit. I don't believe any of you. Considering the popularity of The Black King Piece, I 100% assumed for a fact that this one would be in the top 3.
I had never watched High School DxD before writing that story. I wound up watching until the last couple of eps of season 3 to be researched enough to write the characters properly.
In the interest of honesty, I think the anime was a little boring, actually. That said, writing that story and playing with the interactions between those characters is very fun. So, I'm happy.
8: Marvel (in general) (38 votes)
I was actually quite uninformed on the MCU until a recent commission I wrote involving gangbanging Avengers (Avengers: New Secretaries).
I was missing out. The movies are great. I caught up all the way to Endgame to make sure I knew enough about the characters.
That said, I think DC has Marvel beat woman-wise. Though, Black Widow is certainly great.
Also 8: Bleach (38 votes)
This is another fandom that I expected to be more popular, especially since it's one of the big shonen anime. We even have an ongoing series involving Orihime and Rangiku (Blacked By A Toxic Futanari In America).
I know there are people asking when Chapter 2 will arrive. I will update the Workflow Central in the next few days, don't worry.
On the matter of Bleach itself, I watched all the way to the end of the Hueco Mundo Arc a million years ago. I don't think I'd be able to stomach it nowadays, since I've grown a little bored of traditional shonen. However, I remember loving it back in the day.
Allow me to offer heresy: Even though Orihime and Rangiku are probably the most popular girls in Bleach, mine are Rukia and Yoruichi.
That's right, I said it.
9: Wonder Woman (35 votes)
You are all degenerates of culture. I know little about actual Wonder Woman comics. Most of my knowledge comes from seeing her as a side character in animated Justice League movies, or the first live-action Wonder Woman.
Allow me to offer truth to this world: It is absolutely criminal that so many comics draw Wonder Woman without plentiful muscle mass. She should always be a 6ft+ muscle mommy, dammit.
Never settle for less! Say no to skinny Wonder Women!
...I am weirdly passionate about this critique.
Also 9: Legend of Korra
This one surprised me. I did not expect Legend of Korra to rank so well - at least relatively speaking.
I had never fully watched The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra until earlier this year, so I got to experience them both in full as an adult through frantic binge-watching.
I loved both shows. My favorite character overall was definitely Azula.
However...
*takes cover*
...Korra was my favorite protragonist.
I liked Aang too, I swear! Don't kill me!
With THAT controversial statement out of the way, I conclude the discussion of the Fandom Sentiment Poll!
I will keep the results of this poll in mind when deciding future fandom Prompt Polls, but don't assume I am going to run a poll for every fandom that was popular. Like I said in the original post, it was just a curiosity check. If I feel like doing a poll for a fandom I want, I shall.
Plus, I do very much love writing OC stories.
In fact, let us talk about October's incoming Prompt Poll.
Possible Horror Prompt Poll For October
We've never had a seasonal Prompt Poll.
Mostly, because there are all sorts of seasonal events thoughout the year, and I don't want to lock up multiple Prompt Polls a year on restricted seasonal subjects.
However, I feel horror-y this October. Therefore, there is a non-zero chance we might have a horror-themed Prompt Poll, with the story aimed to be released still in October (hopefully). For that purpose, it'd bypass the rest of my Workflow order, which I'll update to reflect such a change if it occurs.
I have not decided if I'll do this Prompt Poll yet, but if I do, it'll be announced early October - therefore, in a few days. That way, there is time for the voting and for me to write it out - or at least start writing it out.
The rules in my mind right now are:
- Has to be one-shot focused;
- Has to be horror-themed;
- Has to be OC-only.
By horror-themed, I mean that the story idea needs to have a horror/creepy/suspensy vibe to it; Not that it needs to have monsters, or be about halloween, or be related to a movie or horror franchise or any such thing.
I am not entirely sure on the OC-only thing yet. Probably yes, but we'll see.
I have to give it some more thought! If you have thoughts on the subject, let me know via the comments below!
Commissions?
I am wrapping up the last commission I had in my queue. It's a big one. Once it's out, I'll sort out the details of my queue-reopening. Expect some sort of announcement in the second half of October.
For those wondering, it is unlikely that I'll do a first come, first serve approach. I'll probably be open for a few days, gather up all the requests, close again, and then decide which ones to take. That way, no one has to go crazy with trying to rush their requests in out of fear of being too late.
Also, I might reduce my max commission size from 25k to 20k. Or maybe not. I don't know yet.
Will You Do More Degeneracy Pits?
For those that missed it, I made a post called 'Degeneracy Pit' for Stacy's Got The Wheel - Chapter 4. The goal was for people to comment ideas they had for Chapter 4 (and maybe the series as a whole). If I found any that I liked, there was a non-zero chance of me implementing it into the story.
The reasoning behind it is that, sometimes, I receive suggestions in comments or DMs that I find quite good and had not thought of yet, and thus implement them. If I think an idea makes a story better, I am not shy to implement it.
So, I figured, why not create a post where everyone can offer their random ideas, if they have any? If I see one I love and had not considered, that's a win. And if I don't see any I care for, I'll just not implement any.
In the end, I think it went well. I might do more of those. We'll see.
With that, this newsletter is concluded! It's gotten too long already! Thank you for reading.
I hope everyone enjoyed/is enjoying Stacy's Got The Wheel - Chapter 4. I intend to update my Workflow Central post in the next few days to reflect which stories will come next and in what order. The Azula story will begin soon, if it hasn't already.
Let us have a very spooky and smutty October.
Thank you all for your continued support!
Hm i am little suprised RWBY won since Naruto was in lead for a long time, it’s also always interesting to see just how big the RWBY fandom is.
Also I’m pretty sure no I am absolutely certain that Yoruichi is the most beloved character in the Bleach fandom.
I have a question to the Horror themed prompt poll ? Aren’t many of your story’s horror themed? With Mindbreak, Blackmail and emotional manipulation I would have thought that counts as horror.
You're not wrong about the horror thing. Maybe I need more specific criteria. Not sure how to figure it out.
I'm glad that you're also a VN supremacist. The best way to enjoy material is in the original format, even if that means you have to wait a decade for it to get translated....
That's right. Once one has read the entirety of Higurashi and Umineko, there is no going back.
Well the poll was not as half surprising as one would guess, RWBY and Naruto taking the lead was expected and its good to see HP and ME getting desired as well, I will say MHA, DxD and Bleach not being as popular was unexpected but this just means that when someone does Commission or submit them as a Prompt that person will have to suggest something pretty special to get it made.
As for the Horror Prompt, Well for those you'd have to give some more rules, Like are we going Cult town brainwashing or are we more Stalker Stockholm syndrome here?
Not too sure yet. I'd consider both those ideas relatively horror-themed, I think. But I also sorta already write that sorta 'horror-y' stuff all the time, so maybe there's no big gain to this prompt poll idea.
When was the last month where a prompt poll had no restrictions? Feels like its been awhile. My dream of a Naruto prompt poll winner must be realized!!!
There's still a non-zero chance it might be one. I haven't given the horror-themed idea enough thought.
I really was hoping for more of the Naruto Homecumming story.
That one is a commission.
