[~March Development Report~]
This post was a tiny bit delayed simply because I wanted to start this month with the big reveal news and allow for a few days afterwards to see the response. ^^ If you haven't seen the reveal yet, you'll want to check it out below!

We've already had some suggestions, with one thing to point out that's happening for sure. The diaper designs related to this reveal post are being updated! Mainly the poofy crotch is being adjusted to better fit with how the diapers look for the rest of the game's cast.
This reveal is confirmed to be our last major addition to development of the base game. Which means, if there's big demands for certain features that are clearly a huge part of the gameplay experience. We're kind of at our limit between this and the near future diaper influence system addition. >.<
One last note before we dive into this report!
Keep in mind that the reveal post above is not in-game yet. We'll make it very clear when its been added and the schedule we have set for handling this addition is in stages, with the first stage being late March will bring the new female protag option being playable purely with episode 1. (More details in that post above in the Q&A section about this plan and why its being done this way.)
With that said, we're really happy with the response to the revealed news! <3 We hope to see that hype increase upon getting to try it out in-game during March.
[~Dev Plans/Story & Programming~]
We're looking at two releases during March to make up for the awkward start to 2024.
The first release will be the finished episode 5 addition of the 6 remaining written scenes. This will happen sometime in the early half of March, as we're making tweaks to the finalized gui assets in engine and looking over the scenes.
Public Version = v0.20 (Free) [Includes Intro, Lola and Bridget's scenes. + 2 additional scenes.]
Support Version = v0.20 (Paid) [Includes everything above. + 4 additional exclusive scenes.]
This is just a one time deal with how we're naming these two releases before our next one goes back to simply "v0.21" > "v0.22" etc. We felt that by splitting up v0.20 and adding "pt 1, pt 2, etc." it only added more confusion. >.<
Our next release later in the month will be called v0.20 (Ep 1 QOL)
Which sounds weird, but as we go into April forward. We'll simply combine our regular monthly content with the existing episode QOL fixes all into one release. (v0.21 will provide 2 route episodes + Ep 2 QOL for example. Same applies to v0.22.)
Reason being, we don't want to confuse anyone with numbers like "v0.20.5" and I know this above suggestion isn't fool proof, but we believe that if its a one-time thing. It'll be fine, but we'll make it very clear prior to v0.20 (Free, Paid, Ep 1 QOL) releases, what each version brings with it.
If you aren't aware of what the QOL fixes are. Its mainly finalized fixes to the script applied in-game, what MA should be as a finished product. (In other words, what fixes are made to ep 1 should ideally be 95-98% the exact same as what will be there by the time MA's base game is completely done.)
This will include simple fixes made to the writing with a editing pass, minor improvements on text and applying some newer features that came later in development to the early parts of the game. (sprite animation effects, new transition effects, additional cg scene art that came later.)
There are a few things being added with these QOL fixes that are a bit more involved, like the character Tara replacing John. Addition of Blythe (female protag) and stuff on that level, but we're not looking to do from scratch rewriting/overhauls to everything. We're being very mindful of where the bulk work needs to be and where it doesn't need to be.
Big priority stuff > Small priority stuff.
[~CG art~]
MarxeDP & AjoseMP has been working on some more updates to cg scenes, with the most recent one being teased within the reveal post. That one is meant to be added to episode 1 when the protag first meets Erika, but clearly there's two versions. One that showcases Brandon and another that shows Blythe in his place instead. :P
We wanted to make sure we have all the cg art officially updated for episode 1 before the QOL release later this month, so we're in a good spot as everything else is pretty much done. (We're just waiting on wetting/messing animation frames for the tickle fight cg scene.)
There should be some previews coming this month, but I'm waiting to hear back from them to see where they sit on tackling some art stuff.
[~Sprite art~]
Lisa has been busy during much of February working on the new protag designs, which was shown off in the big reveal post at the start of this post. (Again, check it out if you haven't! Tons of previews and more!)
She's moving onto doing the diaper adjustments for Brandon & Blythe, which shouldn't take too long to see those finished up and shared. Then there's some minor work being applied to 2-3 smaller sprite tasks.
There is another secretive thing that Lisa is working on right now and while it isn't anything as big of a reveal as male/female protagonists or a gameplay related feature... It is a mixture of something really meaningful to the project and we'll be staring at it often.
I can't wait to share what this other secretive thing is, but we're not sure when it'll be ready yet. It has a few working gears in the process before we have it finished. :P
[~GUI~]
ds-sans is working on a few minor adjustments that our programmer has tasked me with obtaining for the config screen and I believe they're working on the cg gallery screen assets or title screen during March. I'm still waiting to hear from them to confirm which one, but we're pretty close to having the gui all finished.
[~Ending~]
There's still some plans to get sfx/ambience added to the game, but we've pushed this back to possibly sometime in Summer or Fall 2024. The reason is simply our funding budget and priority, as we're just barely covering the costs for programming, editing, sprite needs and cg art. By the time we pay everyone, we're left with mainly the % that is set aside to pay in for taxes yearly. >.<
We hope the funding increases to help bring sfx/ambience and possibly voice to the game, but we know that once sprite needs are finished as we head into Summer. It'll at least provide us with that much going into those features if nothing else.
