VN Progress Tracker - Released!
Okay, so as I mentioned in Dev Blog #005, I would work on a Ren'py based progress update tracker. Do you know those pretty images with slider bars that detail how much certain aspects of a VN are complete? Well, I went ahead and made it before I left home for my night shift. It's now on itch.io for you to download.
In all honestly, I'm really pleased with the outcome, it suits my purposes to a T. I made it so that anyone can just switch out the background image and/or overlay an image of their own. The bars can be changed too if you so wish, with either Ren'py ones or your own bars. If using your own, please be mindful that the bars are set to 450x20px, the Ren'py ones don't need any such considerations.

The Visual Novel Progress Tracker is a small Ren'py program that allows you to enter the percentage complete for:
Writing

- Environment Design
- Rendering
- Animation

- Beta Testing
Once values are entered, the progress bars will update. Once all fields are complete, you will have the chance to save a screenshot by pressing 'S' on the keyboard. Screenshots are saved to the root directory of VNPT i.e. "c:\users\current user\VNPT-1.0\".
All that’s left to do is grab that screenshot and upload it your Discord, Patreon, SubscribeStar etc.!
Customisation
You can customise VNPT by replacing the following files to suit your project:
- images\background.png*
- images\overlay.png
- gui\bar\left.png
- gui\bar\right.png
* for those without Photoshop/GIMP you can simply just replace this file with a render of your own.
