Why won’t they release Porn Sim on Steam?!
A couple of weeks ago we received a “happy letter” from Steam moderator Mary, in which she kindly informed us that our 7000 fans who had wishlisted the game on Steam over the past few months would not be getting it after all.
We, a team of just two developers who have been working our asses off for almost two years — not sleeping days and nights trying to make the best hardcore porn studio simulator — were both slightly upset and surprised at the same time.
It turned out that Mary had found a “minor” in the female model whose height is higher than the main character’s and who has epic silicone tits that any porn star would envy.
As developers, we took every possible step to protect ourselves from this schizophrenic moderation obsessed with “protecting children”: we made the heroine’s height extremely tall and maxed out her breast size. We also built a disclaimer directly into the game menu that explicitly states all characters in the game are adults (+18).
But that turned out to be not enough to protect the game from Mary…
Sorry, guys!
With just a couple of clicks, a game that had been in development for years was completely removed from Steam along with all its 7000 wishlists.
An irreversible and final ban on Steam, when the moderation team can’t even explain their decision, is a serious blow — one that has led to the closure of even large AAA studios.
But we are firmly determined to continue developing the game for you guys, in spite of Steam. We plan to release Porn Sim 0.4 with new hardcore animations of rough group sex and a fundamentally new “porn shooting” gameplay within the next month or two…
We will also try to release the game on Itch.io, DLsite, and other loyal to adult creators platforms.
For now, the Porn Sim game will be available first and foremost on SubscribeStar.
Thank you to all our patrons who support us during this extremely difficult time for developing real hardcore porn games. I hope your support will help the Porn Sim project survive until its final release.
