huran enki is my 6+ year old original fantasy/black comedy about barbarians and their problems. it's my solo project and a sandbox that i fuck around with via comics/illustrations/writings but formally i would like it to be an illustrated novel one day!

▶ Huran Enki Part I. An epic set on the ancient steppe. The rise of the Huran Empire, warmongering nomads of the grasslands. Ceyris (kay-riss), elder princess and embarrassing failure. On a mission to prove herself by conquering the western kingdom of Munazariya. Canther, Empress' favourite, dragon-blessed and keeper of his sister. Diadus (die-a-dus), beloved companion of Canther and political prisoner of the Empire. Kingdom side: Isa, smart, sensitive, traitor prince in collusion with Ceyris. Imtiyaz, troublemaker. Prya, dragon priestess of the Empire and aide to Prince Isa.

you remember huran enki, my original fantasy epic set on the ancient steppe, in the age of man following the end of the age of gods detailing the rise and the decline of the huran empire warmongering nomads of the grasslands.... right

so we're watching the vision of escaflowne rn and it's so exquisite im like man :/ i need to be drawing cool stuff. it's such a big beautiful embodiment of fantasy epic that im like UGH i need some of this juice!!! evidently my fav thing to draw is always character art (portraits, costume design, yaoi etc) but its not like my background art is BAD... far from it... even in 2020-2021 when i was kind of first exploring it and super lost and really hard on myself none of it was really bad at all it was kind of pretty good i just didn't know it at the time. i need to think like that more... when i think what im making is just dogshit... know i'll look back on it and see that it's actually kind of alright...

also watched look back -- hadn't read the manga, didn't know what super sad thing would happen so i did get emotional and almost cry, except it was at the beginning part when fujino really wants to get better at drawing and looks up that webpage that ends in something like 'most importantly, just draw, dummy'... just draw dummy!!! makes me really wanna draw!!! but unfortunately i'm busy as Fuck helping my beloved move house this week. pray for my soul.
