Money Troubles V0.1 is officially released!
After a lot of testing, bug hunting, and polishing, I'm finally happy to put the first public version of Money Troubles out for everyone to play.
Since this is the demo version, here are a few tips before you jump in:
- A lot of content is gated behind learning about new locations.
- Make sure to check the kitchen island on Sunday mornings. This is how you'll discover and unlock several new areas.
- Most events will pause the game's clock when they trigger, so don't worry too much about missing content while skipping time.
- Because of how the game is designed, Ren'Py's normal rollback system can be... difficult to work with. Rollback is disabled by default, but you can enable it in the settings if you prefer but be prepared for some funky behavior.
- Save often! Autosaves are set to occur every 2 minutes of real-world playtime by default. You can also change the autosave frequency in the settings.
If you encounter any bugs or error messages, please send me a message here along with the markdown error log. Depending on the issue, I may also ask for your save file so I can investigate it.
For Mac players: I don't currently have access to a Mac for testing, so if you run into any Mac-specific problems, please let me know.
This is only the beginning, and I'm really excited to finally have V0.1 in your hands.
