Our modern world is focused on vision. Everything is about seeing and experiencing through your eyes. YouTube, Instagram, OnlyFans, etc., all push delights for our eyesight, but our brain and imagination are a much more powerful tool. Sometimes, the scene in a movie that happens off-camera can stay with us for much longer than the special effects. People who read the book and watch the film always say the book was better.

Reading words triggers our imagination and is a much more interactive experience than passively watching pictures flick by our eyes. Having to imagine the scene, to put ourselves in the character’s mind, and be part of the story makes for a greater, sensual, shared adventure.
