The Organ, Vol 6 Issue #1: 2026 is here!

Welcome to Vol 6 of The Rational Organ, my rational newsletter from a very irrational mind! Yes, this is indeed a newsletter from SubscribeStar instead of...wherever the hell else I was planning on making one on an "official" site. Mailchimp. Substack. Beehiiv; I tried a lot of places, okay? Honestly, this and Patreon are the easiest way and I know it's nothing fancy, but for now, it works. I'm just sorry people can't just. Subscribe via email. 😕 Might have to do something else to fix that...dammit... 😒

But at least this way I know people are actually interested in reading what I write... 😢

Yeah, SO! It is finally, finally 2026!! 😩 I have no right being this happy and yet so, so sad. Here're some things I plan for this fresh, new year around the web. Yippie. 😐

Continuations of existing stories

I wasn't able to finish all of Hᴜᴍᴀɴ or Dᴀʀᴋɴᴇss & Sɪʟᴠᴇʀ Lɪɴɪɴɢ last year...which. Well. Let's just say it really disheartened me. I got Wʜᴇɴ ᴛʜᴇ Mᴏᴏɴ Sʜɪɴᴇs Rᴇᴅ's first part, Aɴʜᴇᴅᴏɴɪᴀ, completed, though, so that's. Nice. There weren't even meant to be two parts of this story, which may or may not become a novel if it hits 40k. It's at more than 15k words already...so. I assure you, that wasn't the intention.

The following are updates on the stories and series of focus.

When the Moon Shines Red

Part two of WTMSR is called Uɴʀᴇɪɴᴇᴅ, and I plan for it to be more intense in the romance department, as Jaskersspinny and Suiery become an official couple somewhere along the line in this clusterfuck of an experimental story. I really hope people remember this is experimental, meaning it's not...even remotely good, even as a story. There's a lot I need to iron out in the first draft, as the version that is here and elsewhere is the "Initial Draft", as I call it.

All I can hope is that Uɴʀᴇɪɴᴇᴅ is as easy to write as Aɴʜᴇᴅᴏɴɪᴀ was... 😒

Human

Again, I can't begin to express how disappointing it is to start a new year without finishing this damn story. I've been working on it for eight years. The story doesn't have many chapters left, maybe five with an epilogue as the duology is finished. After that, I plan to upload several one shots! That should be fun... 👀

Darkness & Silver Lining

...Yeah, so, I almost regret putting this online. It wasn't ready, it isn't ready, and it's a large, heavy project that may even surpass or match The Little Gods in intensity. 😯 Once I get past where I am right now, it shouldn't be as hard to write. Until then, I may have to post bonus content in the Inverse Sequences series and leave what I have of DaSiLi online on a very long, very annoying hiatus.

...I doubt anyone's interested in it, for starters...so that may be to my advantage. 😐

The Little Gods (series)

Tʜᴇ Rᴀᴠᴇɴ is officially on the back burner. What I have here at the moment is just...well, incomplete. It'll remain incomplete and is merely considered bonus content now. Along with it, I hope to upload a lot of fun old scenes from previous versions of Tʜᴇ Rᴀᴠᴇɴ back when it was called Eᴄʜᴏ. But my main intention is to begin uploading the prequel to it, Tʜᴇ Mᴏɴᴋᴇʏ, at some point! I worked on and finished about less than ¼ of it during RAWR (23k words), which isn't enough to upload here, to Scribble Hub, or to Royal Road yet, so the bonus content will have to do for now...

The early '26 upload chart

I spent. A godforsaken long time creating this, which is, in fact, just HALF of the entire graph that I STILL have to create. 😥 So, let me break this down.

I am on all of these sites with space for two more sites (which will not be Tapas or Wattpad) in the future. I may get rid of Ream, which I said before, but this time I mean it, much like with Tapas. I just don't like Ream, even if using it may get me a bigger audience. 😕 Instead, I'd remain on the site to have access to interesting stories as a reader, but I might not be a creator there.

So, of these stories and parts, only Iɴʜᴜᴍᴀɴ and Aɴʜᴇᴅᴏɴɪᴀ are complete. Very bad. It doesn't look good when I'm showing this huge list of stories I plan to upload...eventually. That's the thing, though, I plan to upload these stories...eventually. 😕 When? Hopefully within this year... 😒 Again, this is just half of the graph, so. There are many more stories I plan to put up here and elsewhere...

...eventually. 😔

Sigh.

Furthermore...there are only three series on this graph so far. Four. Of like. Twelve I have planned. And WTMSR is evidently not a series. 😟

Lastly, all of the stories on this list are stories I am bouncing between, particularly DaSiLi, WTMSR, Tʜᴇ Mᴏɴᴋᴇʏ, and Hᴜᴍᴀɴ. Those are my most important stories, with the others as continuations. Uɴʀᴇɪɴᴇᴅ can...take its time. 😒

Keep in mind that stories that have a romance focus are on romance-focused sites (Ream, Inkitt), stories that aren't in a series may be on FictionPress, and action-focused stories are on more "general" sites like Royal Road. Everything will be here on SubscribeStar and Patreon, however. In the case of SS, I just. Have to take my time uploading everything...
