I love this character archetype but was disturbed to find that very few of my OCs fit this mold.

Nora, The current president of The Howard Occult Research Society has rejected my application to join 3 times, shot down 5 requests to collaborate on an investigation, & banned me from entering the clubroom TWICE!
That being said, I hold no grudges against my old friend from back home despite her noted insistence that I should pursue alternative occupations.
Nope! No grudges! Not even about the part where I'm "not cut out for these things" & "don't understand what I'm meddling with". Truly! I assure that my unbiased stance towards occult persons of interest will remain in-tact regardless of how I'm treated!
Now.
To describe the girl, she is outwardly a mess as her focus is often if not always directed at other pursuits.
Namely expanding her encyclopedic knowledge of the occult & paranormal.
Unfortunately this has repelled al but the most enthusiastic of nutcases from applying to her club, further filtering the casual readers.
I do worry that she might be surrounding herself with dangerous people.
Perhaps a bucket of soapy water might do her some good...
