Time for a
PROPER introduction! Say hello to one of the most consequential leading characters in Ponderwick... LIVIUS.
A very classical knight without the actual title, this 24-year-old is someone who holds an exemplary amount of swordsmanship, gallantry, patience, humility, respect and determination for his age. He's a shining example of what all young squires should aim to be in the Skelmish Kingdom.
Though he's not originally from Skelmerland. Often referred to as "
Livius of D'ravenhall" (or simply
Livius Dravenhall), he's a migrant born in the City of D'ravenhall, in the middle-eastern country, Greyvalia. A place synonymous to the practice of alchemical magic, it was his home until a large-scale war - known as the
Median Sea Wars - broke out between the belligerent sea folk and the defending land-dwellers of Greyvalia and Iboz.
After the young King Victor V offered Skelmerland as refuge for displaced families, Livius fled with his mother at the age of 9, while his father was conscripted to the war, only to never return again.
So far, his journey through Skelmerland hasn't been the greatest of journeys. As well as losing his mother mere weeks into settling in the town of
Goldman's Peak, Livius had to endure 15 brutal years of servitude to the liege lord, Viscount Cade. It was near torture, but through that hardship emerged a strong warrior who was able to withstand every challenge, every torment, and every injury, all through just a fraction of the knowledge his mother gave to him about alchemical magic, and her otherworldly-powerful great-sword.
He didn't have to save Viscount Cade's life for what Cade did to him. But one day Livius did, in what turned out to be a major turning point in his life. Because he was eventually freed from his service, leading to him commencing his grand journey southbound to the golden capital of Skelmerland,
Ponderwick! It's only a matter of time before Skelmerland notices a LEGEND being born in the north.
This is only just the beginning for Livius.
