#008 Package Perfect Devlog
Hey everyone!
This is going to be the last devlog before the release, and yes, that means I'm finally ready to announce the release date.
As of today, I'm in the process of testing the game and polishing a few issues I've discovered, as well as finalizing renders and animations—basically all the post-production work. If there aren't any major problems, this process shouldn't take longer than a week, maybe 10 days at most. With that timeline in mind, I'm hoping to release the new version on June 11th or 12th.
Now that the date is out there, I'd like to talk about the new feature called Auto-Sync. I briefly mentioned this in my previous devlog, and I'm finally ready to share some details about it.
With Auto-Sync, I'm aiming to create a cinematic experience for players. This will be completely optional—you can turn it on and off using a small button at the bottom left of the screen. You might ask, "Why didn't you just create a video and be done with it?" There are two main reasons: First, if it were a video instead of an interactive script with images and animations, you'd have to either watch the whole thing or skip it entirely—no middle ground. Second, I can always make necessary changes instantly and see the results in real time. The first time you encounter this feature, there will be detailed instructions on your game screen, almost like a tutorial.
This is just the beginning for Auto-Sync, and I'm really excited to see how it evolves. I'd love to know what you think once you've had a chance to experience it—your thoughts and suggestions could really help shape how this feature develops in future updates.
I'm not going to share the total number of renders and animations right now because those numbers might change before the release date. Since this is going to be the first actual version beyond the demo, I'll make sure to include as much detail as possible in the progress report.
Lastly, I want to say thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey with me, whether you've been following along, sharing feedback, or simply cheering me on. I had many doubts about taking the leap to become a game developer, and honestly, I still have some, but not nearly as many anymore. I hope what I'm creating will resonate with most of you. Oh, and by the way—the next version won't take this long to be ready. I'm getting more comfortable with 3D design and coding, and with each version, I'm hoping to get better and faster.
I guess that's all for now. I'll see you all next week!
