Witch Hunter 0.26 is release for 10$+ patrons!

Hi everyone!

After all this waiting, Witch Hunter 0.26 is finally here!

In this update you can expect major progress in the main story, new characters (one of them is very important for future plot events and for the story of the original W.I.T.C.H. series as a whole), and a new look for Elyon as a new story arc begins. You can see Elyon’s new Princess outfit on the release cover.

This update also contains content from 0.25EX. So if you missed it, we recommend starting from the events after the fair, the event in the new shopping mall.

Quick reminder to make it easier to unlock fair related content:

If you play with cheats enabled, you will be given a scene choice even if you did not collect enough money at the fair. If you choose Start -> Start from new content (0.26) in the main menu, you will be able to select how much money you collected at the fair. This should help you unlock all scenes in this update without having to replay the fair.

A few critical issues came up during final polishing that had to be addressed before release, so the update took longer than expected. We did not post additional updates because we did not think another explanatory post after the changelog was a good idea. We just wanted to release it as soon as possible.

Because of this, you may notice a couple of minor unfinished details in the update. For example, we did not have time to finish one of the new castle backgrounds, so Cedric mentions that the castle has changed even though it has not been updated visually yet. We will fix these things soon.

The delay was stressful for the whole team, and we have to be honest, this is the first time we have faced a delay of this size during the entire development. We are truly sorry it turned out this way, and that we could not speed things up. We learned a lot from this situation and we really hope it will not happen again. We will work to prevent it going forward. And we hope this delay does not ruin the release for you, because we put a lot of effort into this update.

! Important ! Saves from version 0.14 and newer will work with this build (except 0.15.1, which may cause issues). Saves from older versions are not supported. Please remember this is an early build. Even though we tested it carefully, there may still be some bugs we did not catch. If you find any, please report them in our Discord group, via direct message, in the comments, or by email. One more reminder: we added a Chinese translation up to version 0.23.

В этом обновлении вас ждет большое продвижение по основному сюжету, новые персонажи (один из которых очень важен для будущего сюжета и для сюжета оригинального сериала W.I.T.C.H. в целом), а также новый образ Элион в связи с началом новой сюжетной арки. Эти поможет вам получить все сцены в этом обновлении, не возвращаясь к ярмарке.

И немного слов о возникшей задержке после публикации Changelog. В процессе доработки у нас возникло несколько критических моментов, которые требовали доработки до релиза, поэтому мы задержались. Апдейтов по этой теме не было, поскольку мы не думали, что еще один оправдательный пост после публикации Changelog это хорошая идея. Мы просто хотели выпустить все как можно скорее. В связи с этим вы можете заметить пару незначительных недоработок в обновлении (например мы не успели закончить один из новых бэкграундов в замке, поэтому в тексте Седрик отмечает, что замок изменился, хотя пока что это не так). Все эти вещи мы исправим в скором времени.

Вся эта ситуация с задержкой релиза - это стресс для всей команды и, пожалуй, такое случается впервые за все время нашей разработки. Нашей команде искренне жаль о том, что обстоятельства сложились таким образом и мы не могли ничего предпринять, чтобы ускорить процесс. Мы определенно вынесли урок из этой ситуации и мы все надеемся, что такого больше не произойдет. Будем работать над этим. Надеемся данная ситуация не омрачит для вас выход самого обновления, над которым мы так старались.

! Важно ! В новой версии будут работать сохранения из версии 0.14. и более новых версий игры (исключая 0.15.1, с ним могут быть проблемы) Сохранения из более старых версий не поддерживаются. Также напоминаем, что это ранняя версия, и хоть мы и проверили обновление довольно тщательно, в ней все еще могут присутствовать некоторые баги, которые мы не успели обнаружить. О багах прошу сообщать в группу в Discord, в личные сообщения или написать о замеченных багах в комментариях или на почту,

Еще стоит в очередной раз отметить, что мы добавили перевод игры на Китайский язык вплоть до версии 0.23.
